Follow the steps outlined below to remove posts from your timeline. If you can&#8217;t find the post you want to hide, you can search the web for &#8220;hide&#8221; and &#8220;unfollow&#8221; it.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Archived_posts\"><\/span>Archived posts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Whether you&#8217;ve deleted posts that you&#8217;d rather not see, or you&#8217;d like to preserve a certain memory, Facebook&#8217;s archive feature can help you do just that. Archived posts aren&#8217;t removed from Facebook, but they are not viewable to others. If you&#8217;ve archived a post, you can access it at a later date if you want to. Archived posts can be deleted individually, or in bulk, through the Manage Activity tool.<\/p>\n<p>Archived posts stay on Facebook for 30 days, but you can restore them any time. The only posts you can&#8217;t delete are those that you&#8217;ve tagged. Archived posts are removed from your timeline, but they are still accessible through the Facebook app or website. You can also hide posts you&#8217;ve published and untag yourself from other people&#8217;s posts. But don&#8217;t worry, there&#8217;s a simple solution!<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Unfollowing_a_Friend\"><\/span>Unfollowing a &#8216;Friend&#8217;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Unfollowing a &#8216;Friend&#8217; from Facebook is a good way to block someone from showing up on your timeline, but not on theirs. When you unfollow someone from Facebook, they will not automatically be visible to your feed, but you can still see their posts. You can unfollow a &#8216;Friend&#8217; from your Facebook account if you want to take a break from them. Then, select the &#8216;Take a break&#8217; option to hide their posts from your feed and timeline.<\/p>\n<p>If a &#8216;Friend&#8217; has made a post that you don&#8217;t want to see, you can unfollow them from Facebook. To do this, access the post and click the three dots at the top right corner. After this, you will no longer see posts from this &#8216;Friend&#8217;. You can even unfollow multiple people and things at once by deleting the posts one by one.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Archiving_your_own_posts\"><\/span>Archiving your own posts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve ever deleted a post on Facebook, you can easily retrieve it at a later time by archiving it. But before you do this, remember to download your enhanced profile. These posts contain a lot of personal information, including pictures, and will likely take a while to download. This can be problematic if you want to permanently delete the Facebook account. If you&#8217;re concerned that this may happen, it&#8217;s better to download the archive instead.<\/p>\n<p>Archived posts will be hidden from the main feed, timeline, and memories, but they are still available if you&#8217;d like to view them later. Archiving is a great way to save important memories or protect sensitive posts from being exposed to an entire public audience. Even better, you can restore these archived posts later. You can also restore the posts to the same audience if you wish to share them again. To do this, first go to your activity log. Then, click on &#8216;Manage Activity&#8217;.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Hide_from_timeline\"><\/span>Hide from timeline<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Once you have posted something on Facebook, you may wonder how to hide posts on Facebook timeline. You can do this in two ways: you can choose to keep the post hidden, or you can unhide it. The former option is the better choice if you&#8217;d like people to see it, but it does require a bit of effort on your part. If you decide to hide posts on Facebook timeline, however, make sure you&#8217;re really sure you want to do so &#8211; and consider whether you want others to see them.<\/p>\n<p>In either case, the best option is to select the posts you&#8217;d like to hide and then untag yourself. If you&#8217;re concerned that a post is too personal for public viewing, you can hide it for a specified period of time. After this period of time, Facebook will automatically remove the post. But if you&#8217;d rather not delete it, there are other options you can choose. From here, you can choose to move posts to Archive or Trash, respectively. The Trash feature automatically removes posts after 30 days. Click on Manage Activity in your profile to access this feature.
