In this way, no one will be able to see if you&#8217;re online.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Disable_active_status_on_Facebook\"><\/span>Disable active status on Facebook<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re not happy with how the &#8220;last seen&#8221; or activity status on WhatsApp and Instagram are making your online life feel, you might want to turn off the active status on Facebook. The feature allows other users to know when you&#8217;re online, but if you&#8217;re a privacy fanatic, turning off the status can be a great way to keep yourself private. To turn off the active status, follow these steps.<\/p>\n<p>Open the Facebook app on your mobile device. You&#8217;ll see a notification window that shows your active status. To turn it off, click the toggle button. It will turn gray when off. You&#8217;ll need to repeat these steps on each mobile device that you use. If you don&#8217;t have a mobile device, you&#8217;ll have to disable the active status manually. Depending on which platform you&#8217;re using, this can take a few minutes.<\/p>\n<p>To turn off the active status on Facebook, go to the settings menu. Select Settings &gt; Privacy. Under the Privacy section, select the Settings tab. Select Privacy Settings. The Settings menu will be displayed. Click the Advanced option. You can turn off the active status on all your contacts, just some of them, or for all of your contacts. Facebook will log you out if you close the browser. However, you can disable this feature to prevent your profile from being seen by others. Logging out will prevent your profile from appearing in search results, and will not reveal your private information. The next time you want to check your active status, log out of Facebook through the Facebook app.<\/p>\n<p>First, go to the Settings page of your Facebook account. Click on Security and Login. This will take you to a page that displays all devices that access your account. On the left side, you&#8217;ll see the &#8220;Where You&#8217;re Logged in&#8221; section, with your Android device listed first. If you hover over the location, you&#8217;ll see the IP address of the last device that accessed Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>Next, you&#8217;ll need to log out of Facebook on all devices. For example, you may want to log out of Facebook on your desktop if you&#8217;re using a mobile device. This procedure works the same for Mac and Windows. In addition, you can log out of your active Facebook session on other devices if you&#8217;re worried about security or are checking for suspicious activity.
