There are many ways to change the privacy settings on your profile and to limit who can see your posts. In this article, we&#8217;ll explain how to make your future posts more private and change the default privacy settings for an entire album. We&#8217;ll also discuss how to create a password to access a private Facebook profile. Here are the steps:<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Make_future_posts_more_private\"><\/span>Make future posts more private<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve never posted to Facebook, but think you might, there&#8217;s a way to make future posts more private. You can change the default audience and limit who sees your posts retroactively, too. Unlike Google+, Facebook doesn&#8217;t give you as much privacy control as you might want, but it does let you change certain settings. To change this setting, click the &#8216;edit&#8217; button next to the &#8216;Who can see your future posts?&#8217; heading.<\/p>\n<p>To make future posts on Facebook more private, go to Settings. Click the arrow on the upper-right corner of your screen. Go to the Privacy section. Under Who can see your future posts, select Privacy. Choose Friends or Public. Click Close to save the changes. If you want to limit the audience of past posts, click on Limit past posts. This feature will hide past posts you&#8217;ve made, as well. If you change your mind, you can also archive or trash posts that you&#8217;ve posted in the past.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Change_the_default_privacy_of_all_your_posts\"><\/span>Change the default privacy of all your posts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>By default, all your public posts on Facebook are publicly viewable to anyone. This is unsettling for many Facebook users. There is a way to limit how much of your content people can see by changing your Facebook privacy settings. The good news is that Facebook makes this process very easy and you can change your privacy settings for all of your past posts with just a few clicks. However, you should keep in mind that once you have changed the default settings, you cannot go back.<\/p>\n<p>In order to change the default privacy of all your posts, you should go to &#8220;Settings&#8221; and then choose the option that says &#8220;Who can see my stuff&#8221;. This applies to all of your status updates, whether they&#8217;re text, images, or videos. The default setting is &#8220;Everyone&#8221; but you can change it for specific friends or subsets of people. To do this, click the &#8220;Edit&#8221; icon on the right of the date\/time stamp of the post. Then, click &#8220;Edit&#8221; next to the desired audience, click &#8220;Change&#8221; and save your changes.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Change_the_default_privacy_of_an_entire_album\"><\/span>Change the default privacy of an entire album<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To change the default privacy of an entire album on Facebook, click on the three dots at the top of the album. This gives you options to edit your album, including a list of people you want to view certain photos. Click on the privacy level to make the changes. You can also move all the photos in the album to other albums that you have created, but this option is only available when you&#8217;re on Facebook&#8217;s desktop mode.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve saved your changes, you&#8217;ll need to rename the album to make it less likely that others will share it. First, enter a name and description for the album. You can include captions as well. If you want to make the album more public, you can set the album&#8217;s default settings to &#8220;allow only family and friends to see&#8221; or &#8220;all friends.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Create_a_password_to_access_a_private_Facebook_profile\"><\/span>Create a password to access a private Facebook profile<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are several ways to secure your account and access your private Facebook profile. First, make sure that you use a strong password. Using a password manager can be helpful, but it is also recommended to use a combination of upper and lower-case letters and numbers. Generally, it is best to use a long password rather than a short one. There are also several password strength checkers and password generators available online to help you create secure passwords.<\/p>\n<p>The privacy settings of Facebook are customizable. If you want to restrict certain kinds of information, you should make sure to set a password for each category. Typically, you can toggle the visibility of different information by clicking on icons that look like a globe or a group of people.
