You can change these by clicking on the &#8220;Help Center&#8221; link on the toolbar or by clicking on &#8220;Privacy Shortcuts.&#8221; You can change who sees your posts, block individuals, or perform a privacy checkup. After making the changes, you will see them reflected on the Privacy Settings and Tools page. This is where you can make your changes.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve made changes, you can now choose whether to show your friends list to only specific people or not. This applies to both the browser and the mobile version of Facebook. By selecting &#8220;Only me,&#8221; you prevent other users from knowing how many friends you have on Facebook. If you&#8217;d prefer a more advanced filter, click &#8220;Custom.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Alternatives_to_viewing_a_friend_list\"><\/span>Alternatives to viewing a friend list<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t want to share your entire friend list with everyone, you can use some of the many Facebook alternatives to view a friend list. While you can&#8217;t hide your friend list completely, you can restrict it to people you know. If you want to keep the list to friends, select Only Me. Otherwise, you can select Friends of Friends. Alternatively, you can create a custom list and make it public.<\/p>\n<p>To view a friend list without having to delete your account, go to your profile and click on the Friends tab. Select &#8220;Friends&#8221; and click the arrow at the bottom-right corner. Click &#8220;Edit&#8221; and enter a name and choose the friends you&#8217;d like to view. Click &#8220;Edit&#8221; to see the list. You can also see a list of your friends if you want to.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Changing_the_default_setting_to_Only_Me\"><\/span>Changing the default setting to &#8220;Only Me&#8221;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to limit the number of people who can see your posts, changing the default setting on Facebook to &#8220;Only me&#8221; is an effective solution. Face recognition allows Facebook to analyze your photos and pick out your face from a crowd. However, if you&#8217;d prefer to limit this feature to only your friends, you can do so in the settings menu. You can also choose to disable facial recognition on your profile.<\/p>\n<p>There are ways to limit who can view your posts and photos, but you may be worried about privacy. Facebook makes it easy to find people with the same name or phone number. Changing this setting will prevent these intrusive searches. First, go to your browser&#8217;s settings and select Privacy. From there, choose &#8220;Who can find me using my email address or phone number?&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Blocking_specific_people_from_seeing_your_entire_friend_list\"><\/span>Blocking specific people from seeing your entire friend list<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re frustrated with seeing other people&#8217;s activity all over your news feed, you can block specific people from seeing your entire friend list. You can also select as many friends as you like to block. Blocking people will appear as a red minus next to their name on your friend list. They&#8217;ll also be listed individually at the bottom of the page. Blocking specific people has different looks on desktops and smartphones. Go to Settings &gt; Privacy and click Blocking. From there, click the check mark to block a specific person.<\/p>\n<p>Next, you can choose whether you want everyone on your list to see your friends&#8217; lists or just your friends. Choosing the &#8220;public&#8221; option means that anybody can view your friends&#8217; list, and blocking specific people will prevent them from seeing yours. The &#8220;friends&#8221; option allows only your friends to see your friends list, but you can also choose to allow only specific people to see it.
