However, it does have several venture capital firms and private equity funds backing it. It is not yet publicly traded, but is valued at $50 to $75 billion. It is possible that ByteDance could eventually go public, or even sell a part of its company. Although the company has not disclosed the size of Zhang&#8217;s stake, he has already started talking to a small group of executives about succession in the last six months.
