Often, you don&#8217;t even know who the song is by. However, if you have been a fan of the same song for a long time, you&#8217;ve probably been annoyed by the same song being played over again. Overused songs have ruined many a song, but there are some things you can do to protect your favorite songs.<\/p>\n<p>While some of these songs have gone viral, others have failed to break through the quality barrier. In one example, a song that was originally released as a joke ended up being memed &#8211; its opening and first verse. Despite the lack of quality control, the song&#8217;s success was due to its popularity. It was able to break through the quality restrictions of TikTok, but it was far from perfect.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"One-hit_wonders\"><\/span>One-hit wonders<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In recent years, the viral video app TikTok has gone from a source for major breakthroughs to a platform for launching one-hit wonders. Artists like K Camp, who first gained popularity after Jalaiah Harmon&#8217;s Renegade dance, have been a victim of this trend. Many have called TikTok a &#8220;victim of its own success,&#8221; with no new music released since their viral videos.<\/p>\n<p>Most people have heard at least one TikTok hit, and they recognize most pop songs. Moreover, they can imagine trends associated with a specific song. As one of the biggest challenges to become a TikTok star, the risk of labeling as a &#8220;digital one-hit wonder&#8221; is high. Popularity is often short-lived, and TikTok requires an instant approval. Thus, good artists are passed over for the dance-friendly songs that tend to attract a quick trend.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"6ix9ines_Gooba\"><\/span>6ix9ine&#8217;s &#8220;Gooba&#8221;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>For over two months, Tekashi 6ix9ine has been busy feeding the internet algorithm and the social media platforms with controversy surrounding his latest song, &#8220;Gooba.&#8221; He even claimed that Justin Bieber was using six credit cards to cheat on the chart. However, both Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande have rebuked this claim, saying it is untrue.<\/p>\n<p>While fans are rarely willing to talk on record about the situation, one site has managed to gather feedback from over a thousand people. A recent question asked on the 6ix9ine subreddit (which has over 11,000 members called the &#8216;Scum Gang&#8217;) received nine replies in less than 24 hours. The answers included mentions of 6ix9ine as a troll and the plot of his song.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Too_horts_Blow_The_Whistle\"><\/span>Too $hort&#8217;s &#8220;Blow The Whistle&#8221;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Too $hort has a hit song with the catchy title &#8220;Blow the Whistle.&#8221; It has become a favorite of DJs and has become a classic in the rap game. The West Coast MC spoke with Scoop B on the podcast about the song&#8217;s release and its meaning. &#8220;Blow the Whistle&#8221; is a track that was sampled by Drake, Saweetie, and Jay Z. In fact, Too $hort&#8217;s &#8220;Blow The Whistle&#8221; was even compared to &#8220;The Game.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Too $hort is a pioneer of Bay Area hip-hop. He has chronicled the street life of Oakland and beyond for decades. His latest album, &#8216;Blow the Whistle,&#8217; will be available for streaming via streaming services on January 28.
