In Canada, music operations are overseen by Adam Burchill. Before joining TikTok, Burchill was the senior vice president of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment&#8217;s music partnerships. In Brazil, music content is overseen by Roberta Guimaraes, who previously worked at label relations for music streaming service Deezer. And in Mexico, music operations are led by Rob Ruiz, who previously worked at Warner Music Group.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, TikTok&#8217;s music operations team works directly with artists to promote their music before the release date. For example, Miley Cyrus&#8217;s team worked with TikTok to promote her upcoming summer 2020 single, &#8220;Midnight Sky.&#8221; To make her fans happy, the company scheduled two private Zoom calls with creators.
