Before jumping on the Twitter bandwagon, you should know how to use it.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Twitter_has_a_shop\"><\/span>Twitter has a shop<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking for a new way to buy something on Twitter, you&#8217;ve probably noticed that the company has a shop on its mobile app. The new feature is similar to Instagram&#8217;s Shops, but the transactions don&#8217;t take place within the app. Instead, users click on the &#8220;View Shop&#8221; button above the merchant&#8217;s tweet and are taken to their website, where they can complete the transaction. Twitter Shops uses an in-app browser, and is currently available only to iOS users. The service is free to use, but Twitter has no immediate plans to monetize the feature.<\/p>\n<p>Twitter has begun testing its new shopping feature on live streams. Walmart was the first beta partner, and the company claims that over 2 million people tuned in during its November live-streaming event. While it is not yet clear how many of these views converted into actual purchases, the company says the feature is already available on the site for other managed partners. Twitter also recently introduced a &#8220;Purchases&#8221; tab in its user profiles that displays subscriptions and digital tickets, which point to the potential of listing product purchases.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Its_a_competitor_to_Facebooks_creator_shops\"><\/span>It&#8217;s a competitor to Facebook&#8217;s creator shops<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Facebook has been late to the creator party, but it is finally catching up, having added both influencer and partnerships teams and launching social audio features. In addition to creating its own creator shop, Facebook launched the Bulletin newsletter product to give writers a place to create free and paid newsletters. Facebook paid writers upfront to recruit them for its newsletter product, and plans to expand this practice to include other publishers. As a result, it will not take any subscription revenue during the launch period, something rivals do.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Its_similar_to_TikTok\"><\/span>It&#8217;s similar to TikTok<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are numerous reasons why you might be looking for an alternative to TikTok. With 1.6 billion downloads in four years, the short-form video sharing platform is the most popular social media app. Besides having a great music library, it allows you to upload videos that are only 15 seconds long. However, it has faced controversy in several countries, including India, for violations of privacy. Its popularity has skyrocketed in recent months, and it has even outpaced the use of Facebook and Instagram in the last year.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking for a child-friendly version of TikTok, consider MuStar. Unlike TikTok, MuStar has filters for bad words and allows you to create anonymous accounts. You can create short music videos and lip sync videos, or take part in dance challenges. Moreover, you can use the #MuStar to be featured by other users. Despite the similarities, MuStar is definitely not the best alternative to TikTok.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Its_free_to_use\"><\/span>It&#8217;s free to use<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A new Shop Module will allow Twitter users to purchase products within the Twitter app. This is the latest innovation by the social network, which is also working on integrating its marketplace with its other services. The Shop Module replaces Fleets, a feature that allowed users to post short-lived ephemeral media content similar to Instagram Stories. As Twitter continues to explore its commerce capabilities, it is unclear when the new feature will go live.<\/p>\n<p>The new shopping feature, called Twitter Shops, allows merchants to curate collections of 50 products on their Twitter profile. It is completely free to use, and it is intended to encourage users to check out products offered by merchants. The Twitter app allows users to buy products from their favorite brands, and the process is also completely frictionless.
