The study showed that the usage of Twitter among millennials will reach 80% in 2020 and 2021, with nearly half of Tweets generated by users aged 16 to 24. Clearly, this is an important demographic for brands to target with marketing campaigns. With the help of these statistics, marketers can craft their marketing campaigns more efficiently. In addition to targeting Millennials, brands should also consider the behavior of Gen Z. They have just entered the workforce, and control $1 trillion in worldwide spending. While this generation is often the target of negative press, it has also been shown to be a key demographic for Twitter. The social media platform has 248 million millennial users, or 13.9% of the world&#8217;s population. Millennials are also highly social and like to express themselves through the medium, as well as discover what others are saying about various topics.<\/p>\n<p>The growth of Twitter has become a vital marketing channel, with more than a quarter of US adults making $75,000 per year. Among these users, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are viewed highly by their followers. According to Statista, 66% of US companies with 100+ employees use Twitter to reach consumers. Those who are highly engaged with brands on Twitter are more likely to buy from them.<\/p>\n<p>Millennials represent the largest portion of Twitter&#8217;s active user base, and this group represents the majority of the company&#8217;s audience.
