Now, TikTok is jumping on the bandwagon, jumping on the &#8220;online shopping&#8221; bandwagon.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Apps_relationship_with_Chinese_internet_giant\"><\/span>App&#8217;s relationship with Chinese internet giant<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you are one of the millions of Chinese users of the video-sharing app TikTok, you have likely wondered about TikTok&#8217;s relationship with the Chinese government. TikTok says it is not sharing any data from its U.S. users with the Chinese government, but that data may have been accessed by the Chinese government. This could be used for nefarious purposes by the CCP. As a result, TikTok has migrated its U.S. user traffic to American Oracle servers and has pledged to delete the data over time.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese government has also begun an investigation of TikTok. The company&#8217;s relationship with the Chinese government has been described as invasive by lawmakers. A recent report said that a TikTok engineer had access to U.S. data between September 2021 and January this year, but sometimes had to consult with colleagues in China. Furthermore, TikTok staff were not authorized to access the data on their own.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Apps_partnership_with_Walmart\"><\/span>App&#8217;s partnership with Walmart<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>It is unclear how the Chinese government will react to the announcement that TikTok will work with Walmart. The Commerce Department has delayed the enforcement of the executive order, but the company is continuing to talk with regulators. In a statement, TikTok said it is pleased with the partnership. Oracle is reportedly in discussions to host TikTok&#8217;s U.S. user data. The company also said it expects to get a 20 percent stake in the company during its pre-IPO financing round.<\/p>\n<p>The new partnership with Walmart could help TikTok avoid getting banned in the U.S. in 2022. It would allow Walmart to sell products on its app to its users. In fact, Walmart&#8217;s partnership with TikTok could help the latter reach the same audience. But the decision will ultimately depend on how Walmart responds. If Walmart bans TikTok in the US, it will likely face the same fate as YouTube.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Apps_availability_in_the_UK\"><\/span>App&#8217;s availability in the UK<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you are moving to the United States and still have apps downloaded to your UK-based iPhone, you need to switch the location settings to the United States. However, you cannot access apps from the UK App Store when you move to the US. If you want to continue using your UK-based iPhone, you must first change the location setting of your iPhone. To do this, you need to open the Settings App on your iPhone and then tap on Name, Media &amp; Purchases, and View Account.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have changed the region, you need to know the exact name of the new country. There are also some common mistakes that you need to avoid. First, check if the app&#8217;s availability in your country is set to &#8220;United Kingdom&#8221;. In most cases, changing the region can result in data loss and the inability to access apps that are based in the UK.
