If you&#8217;re an avid tweeter, unlinking your accounts is a much better solution. Here&#8217;s how. You can choose which updates you want to post to Twitter automatically or manually. Then, you can choose the time you want the posts to go out. You can also choose to automatically post only certain updates, like photos, or a combination of both.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cross-posting_between_Facebook_and_Twitter_is_time-consuming_and_impractical\"><\/span>Cross-posting between Facebook and Twitter is time-consuming and impractical<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can&#8217;t always monitor and publish content on all platforms. For example, you could post to Twitter, but forget to publish it to Facebook. That would be a waste of time. Luckily, there are solutions to both time-consuming and impractical problems. Here are five:<\/p>\n<p>1. Don&#8217;t cross-post the same content across multiple channels. Trying to post the same content on Facebook and Twitter can take a lot of time. Many content managers simply copy and paste the same content across the platforms. This isn&#8217;t very time-efficient, especially if you want to include links, emoji, and hashtags. You also need to log into each account individually and compose and publish the post on each.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Its_impractical_if_youre_a_heavy_tweeter\"><\/span>It&#8217;s impractical if you&#8217;re a heavy tweeter<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>For a heavy Tweeter, linking Facebook to Twitter isn&#8217;t practical, at least not yet. Your posts will appear in your Facebook News Feed, which you may not be accustomed to seeing. If you&#8217;re a heavy tweeter, it may become embarrassing to have your tweets shown up in your friends&#8217; News Feeds. Besides, it may result in you being Unliked on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>One of the benefits of linking Facebook and Twitter is the fact that you don&#8217;t have to spend time on both sites &#8211; any post you make on Facebook will show up as a tweet on Twitter. However, Twitter and Facebook are completely different in terms of user behavior, how you consume information, and how you engage with your followers. Therefore, it&#8217;s not practical to link your accounts if you&#8217;re a heavy tweeter.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Its_easy_to_unlink_your_Twitter_and_Facebook_accounts\"><\/span>It&#8217;s easy to unlink your Twitter and Facebook accounts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to separate your Twitter and Facebook accounts, you can easily do so. Log in to Twitter and go to the More tab in the left-hand column. From here, you can select the Apps and Sessions section. In the right-hand column, click Facebook Connect. This will bring up the Settings menu. In the next window, click the Unlink Facebook and Twitter account link.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve done so, you can disconnect the two accounts. This will not delete any data or information from your accounts; it will just stop sharing between them and break the connection on both sides. It also works on Spotify, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Spotify. Just follow these steps and you&#8217;ll be back on track. While unlinking Twitter and Facebook accounts can be a little bit difficult, it&#8217;s not as difficult as you might think.<\/p>\n<p>To unlink Facebook and Twitter, go to Settings on both platforms. Select Applications and Websites from the menu. Scroll down to Facebook and Twitter, and tap the option that says Session started with Facebook. Once you&#8217;ve clicked that, you&#8217;ll be prompted to confirm your decision. Otherwise, simply click OK. Then, you&#8217;re done.
