Twitter offers free widgets for various placements, such as your homepage or global footer. However, if you are comfortable with code, you can even create custom feeds of your own. You’ll first need to determine where you want to place your feed. Most typical locations are the homepage, global footer, and sidebar. Once you’ve determined the location, you can now choose the size.

Lists operate like filters on Twitter

Twitter lists allow you to curate a subset of your timeline. Lists are useful if you want to follow certain accounts or find people with specific interests. They can be subscribed to or created independently. A list timeline shows a stream of Tweets from only the people you’ve added. You can make lists public or private, as well. Lists work like filters on Twitter. When you’re interacting with a list, you’ll see the Tweets only from members of that list.

While lists can be helpful for finding specific tweets, they’re not perfect. Sometimes lists miss relevant tweets, especially if they’re spelled incorrectly or have other spellings. They also don’t make good summaries. That’s why Twitter lists are best for journalists with a large number of followers, as the social media network’s search engine is notoriously messy. Nevertheless, Twitter has many advantages for journalists, and lists are worth considering.

You can switch between chronological and curated timelines

If you use Twitter frequently, you might prefer a curated timeline to a chronological one. The curated version will only display top-ranked tweets and may overwhelm you with updates. If you follow live events, it might get old seeing a new tweet every few seconds. But if you’re more of a casual user, a curated timeline can save you from that problem.

The good news is that Twitter has reintroduced the chronological timeline. This change came as a response to user feedback that people prefer chronological feeds. Research shows that most people prefer to see the most relevant tweets first. In the curated timeline, your timeline will display tweets curated by Twitter’s algorithm. Many users find the changes confusing. So Twitter decided to add a setting in its settings that lets them toggle between chronological and curated timelines.

The switcher is available for iOS devices and Android users. It shows which feed you’re on. Users can also view recent tweets via a pinned list. Alternatively, they can switch to the chronological timeline by swiping from the home tab. On iOS and Android devices, the switcher is always visible. The switcher is also available for web users. If you want to switch between curated and chronological timelines, simply tap the Sparkle icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.

You can add a custom Twitter feed to your website

When adding a Twitter feed to your website, you can choose from a variety of different formats and layouts. Depending on your needs, you can choose from a home timeline, mentions timeline, or list. You can also control the amount of media to display in the feed, as well as the time when it checks for new tweets. You can also use the Moderation area to hide tweets deemed offensive or inappropriate. In addition, the plugin also has settings to customize the dimensions of the feed, add custom CSS, or Javascript code, and enable or disable the lightbox.

Using a WordPress plugin, you can add a custom Twitter feed to your site. Simply install the plugin and then visit the Widgets section of your website. Next, choose the Twitter Feed widget. You can also add a Twitter Feed widget to your sidebar or footer. Once you’ve added the widget, make sure to change the layout. You’ll be able to customize your feed with the text and colors you want to use.

You can make your account private to pare down your feed

Making your Twitter account private will limit what people can see and do on your account. When you make your account private, only people you approve can see your tweets and reply to them. The downside of making your account private is that your tweets may be screenshotted and posted publicly. It is best to make your account private only if you want to keep some privacy. Followers can still see your tweets if you choose to follow them.

To make your account private, first go to the settings page for your Twitter account. Then, tap on the Privacy and safety feature. Once there, tap on the box next to Protect my Tweets. Note that this option is not retroactive. It won’t protect older tweets, but it will protect them from new visitors. To make your account private, you must confirm your identity by entering your password or entering a secret word.

How Do I Customize My Twitter Feed?
