The trend began with a tweet by Ed Balls himself, which went viral and was retweeted more than 100,000 times. The rest is history. Starbucks, for example, is the latest big brand to pause their advertising in protest of Facebook&#8217;s policies. Those brands aren&#8217;t the only big brands to join the campaign, but they have all pledged to boycott the social media giant.
