When a tweet from Chick-fil-A was shared by Popeyes, it quickly garnered millions of likes and spread the word. A quick Google search of the sandwich resulted in more than 320,000 likes, which fueled the Twitter conversation even more.<\/p>\n<p>The tweet was so successful that Popeyes received valuable earned media from NFL players. The brand returned the chicken sandwich to its restaurant after two months and quickly topped the U.S. Trending list. The tweet, which referred to the company&#8217;s number three dinner order, sparked a viral craze. It became a global phenomenon and spawned competing chicken sandwiches.
