To turn off Quiet Mode, simply go to the settings of the Facebook app and select &#8220;Quiet Mode.&#8221; You can also set a schedule for the time you want notifications to stop, or just turn them off altogether.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook is rolling out a new feature that lets you turn off the push notifications on the website and app. The Quiet Mode feature works similar to Apple&#8217;s Screen Time playback feature, so you can set a period for when you won&#8217;t be distracted by Facebook. When the timer expires, a splash screen will show up to remind you to turn off Quiet Mode.<\/p>\n<p>Users can toggle Quiet Mode on and off with a toggle on the Settings page of the Facebook app. Users can also set time limits for different categories in the iOS Settings app. For example, they can schedule multiple time slots for a given day. This feature also allows them to set a limit on how much time they want to spend checking Facebook at any given time. Facebook will be less likely to track your activity, use less battery, and take up less space on your phone. By limiting the number of notifications you receive, you can prevent them from interrupting your life and avoid having to constantly check your phone.<\/p>\n<p>By turning off Facebook notifications, you can relax. Notifications can make you feel as though you have to reply right away, but this can make you less present in the moment. If someone needs to reach you right now, they can use your cell phone, email, or even text. Remember that not everything needs an instant response, and that sometimes there&#8217;s no time to respond. Getting rid of Facebook notifications can make your phone do the work for you instead.<\/p>\n<p>Turning off Facebook notifications isn&#8217;t just a matter of privacy, however. By doing so, you can still receive important updates from your friends. But by turning off Facebook notifications, you&#8217;ll miss out on other types of alerts and messages, like messages from your messaging apps or work collaboration apps. And you&#8217;ll also miss out on social media, news, shopping apps, and more. But what&#8217;s the worst that can happen?<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Users_reactions_to_unsubscribing_from_notifications\"><\/span>Users&#8217; reactions to unsubscribing from notifications<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When asked whether Facebook&#8217;s push notifications are useful, users rated them positively or negatively, based on their time of day. While 57% of respondents said they were useful, 46% were not. Only 25% of respondents rated them positively if they could choose specific apps to receive the notifications from. Moreover, they most likely received push notifications in the morning, evening, or on the weekends.<\/p>\n<p>However, the first notification is always included. Facebook does not want you to experience more inconvenience than necessary. Instead, you should offer them incentives to subscribe to your list. A small discount of 20 percent, an exclusive proposal, or a chance to win a prize are some possible incentives. These strategies require active management. However, once you have successfully managed notifications, they should settle down and become less intrusive.<\/p>\n<p>Although Facebook&#8217;s push notifications can be aggressive, they have their benefits, too. First, they take up less space on the phone. Secondly, Facebook push notifications are usually short pop-up messages that appear while the user is not actively using the application. The frequency of these messages is based on user trends and behavior. Users may even choose to disable or turn off notifications completely.
