If you have not yet made the switch, you might be wondering: is classic Facebook gone for good? What can you do to get it back? And, most importantly, how do you get it back? You can revert your Facebook UI to the old one if you are a group admin. However, the classic version will only last for 48 hours, after which it will return to the normal new look.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Old_Layout\"><\/span>Old Layout<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you hate the new Facebook design, there is good news. You can switch back to the classic layout for the next 48 hours. You can do this by clicking the arrow at the top right of your screen and selecting &#8216;Switch to classic Facebook.&#8217; You can also use third-party plugins to switch between the old and new layouts. Just be aware that the switch-back option will not be available for very long.<\/p>\n<p>This change was announced at last year&#8217;s Facebook developer conference and rolled out to desktop apps, iOS and Android in March. While the new layout has some positive aspects, it&#8217;s also a bit heavier and stutters more than the old layout. If you&#8217;re not a fan of the new design, don&#8217;t panic! You can still use the old layout until September. It&#8217;s a matter of personal preference and muscle memory.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"New_Facebook_design\"><\/span>New Facebook design<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Facebook has finally updated its interface for its desktop website. Users can now switch between the traditional layout and the New Facebook design without leaving the site. The new design features less of the News Feed, and places more emphasis on groups. It also prominently displays links to other sections of Facebook. Facebook&#8217;s redesign is a welcome change for users, especially considering that the site&#8217;s user base has declined in recent years. Here&#8217;s how to switch back.<\/p>\n<p>The new layout includes more white space. The top of the page is divided into three sections. The left section contains the Facebook icon, while the middle section contains icons in light grey. On the right, you can find the Messenger and profile icons. The logo features a larger f surrounded by a light blue circle. Users can customize their settings to customize the look of the group they&#8217;re in. And while the changes aren&#8217;t noticeable in the traditional Facebook design, users who prefer the New design should consider making the change now.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Is_it_going_away_permanently\"><\/span>Is it going away permanently?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The new layout of Facebook has caused a mixed reaction. Some people are happy with the changes while others hate them. Some simply want the old-fashioned look of Facebook. However, the service has come a long way since 2004 when it launched and now boasts applications such as Instagram, Whatsapp, Messenger, and WhatsApp. Those who don&#8217;t want to give up their classic Facebook experience can try the Old Layout for Facebook option.<\/p>\n<p>Users who don&#8217;t like the new design can still switch back to the classic look by clicking the arrow at the top right-hand corner of the screen. The switchback link will remain available until September 2020. However, once September 2020 comes, the new design will be the default for all users. If you find the new design too dated, you may want to consider a third-party plugin. Depending on the third-party plugin you use, you can easily switch back to the classic look of Facebook.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_get_it\"><\/span>How to get it<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re wondering how to get Classic Facebook back, you&#8217;re not alone. Many people are struggling to adjust to the new layout. If you&#8217;re looking for the old way, there are a few steps you can take to get back to the classic Facebook you love. To enable the dark mode on your account, first go to your profile and click the &#8220;dark mode&#8221; button. To toggle off the dark mode option, click &#8220;off.&#8221; Once you&#8217;ve done this, you&#8217;ll be redirected to the classic version of Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>One way to restore the old layout is to download a new extension. The Google Chrome extension marketplace has several plugins that restore the look and feel of Classic Facebook. You can search for these extensions by typing &#8220;restore classic Facebook&#8221; into Google Chrome&#8217;s extension store. The new layout will be available on September 16th, but if you can&#8217;t wait that long, you can use the old layout in the meantime.
