Alternatively, you can disable the share button entirely by adjusting the privacy settings on your post.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Change_your_posts_audience_to_Public\"><\/span>Change your post&#8217;s audience to Public<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>One way to change your post&#8217;s audience on Facebook is to click the &#8220;globe&#8221; next to the date and time that the post was made. By clicking this button, you can edit the audience of the post without deleting it. You will see several options for changing the audience, including Friends, Specific Friends, and lists. Select the audience you&#8217;d like to reach. Facebook uses the last audience selection to determine whether a post will be visible to people in your network.<\/p>\n<p>To change the audience of your post on Facebook, visit the settings tab on the web version. Go to the post you&#8217;d like to make public and click the &#8220;Edit audience&#8221; option. Select &#8220;Public.&#8221; If you&#8217;re making an existing post, you can choose this option while creating it. Otherwise, you can click &#8220;Edit audience&#8221; at the top right corner of the post. Once you&#8217;ve made this change, the post will be shared by everyone.<\/p>\n<p>You can also change the audience of your post to friends of yours. Facebook&#8217;s help pages explain that this will make your post more visible to friends you&#8217;ve added in your friend list. It also tells you how to exclude specific friends from seeing a post. However, Facebook is not clear on the exact behavior of its algorithm. Therefore, you should make sure to double-check the audience before sharing a new post.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Adjust_your_privacy_settings_to_allow_sharing\"><\/span>Adjust your privacy settings to allow sharing<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Changing the default audience is one way to adjust your privacy settings on Facebook. If you&#8217;re uncomfortable with your Facebook bio being public, you can opt to exclude it from your About section. You can adjust your privacy settings by visiting your General Account Settings. In the Privacy section, tap the pencil icon to edit your post privacy settings. To change the audience, select the audience that you want to see your posts. Once you&#8217;re satisfied with the audience, click Close to save your changes.<\/p>\n<p>You can change the default privacy of any post by clicking on the triangle on the top right corner of the screen and selecting &#8220;Settings.&#8221; From here, you can choose whether you want to show specific posts only to friends or public. You can also change the privacy setting for each post separately. Once you&#8217;ve chosen your audience, click on &#8220;Share&#8221; and then &#8220;Allow People&#8221; to allow only those people to see your post.<\/p>\n<p>While you should try to avoid sharing too much information with others on Facebook, it&#8217;s always a good idea to limit the number of people you let access to your information. This will protect you from phishing scams and hackers guessing your security questions. Furthermore, Facebook uses your endorsements to target your ads. Consequently, liking something can trigger advertisements to your friends. Adjust your privacy settings to allow sharing on Facebook to prevent this from happening.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Remove_the_share_button_from_your_post\"><\/span>Remove the share button from your post<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you want to stop people from sharing your post, you can remove the share button. The Share button appears in your post by default. However, if you want to disable this feature, you can edit your post and remove it manually. To remove it from your post, you must have an account on Facebook. After signing in, navigate to the Edit Post page and choose the option to remove the share button. Click Save Changes in the upper-right corner.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to remove the share button from your post, you must change the privacy settings of your post. First, click the &#8220;Who can see your post?&#8221; option. This will restrict the audience to friends. Select &#8220;Friends only&#8221; or &#8220;Specific friends&#8221; to stop people from sharing your post. You can also edit who can see your post. Once you&#8217;ve set this option, you&#8217;ll have to click Save. Now, your post won&#8217;t be shareable.<\/p>\n<p>To disable the share button on your post on Facebook, you can visit your profile. Click on the three-dot icon on the top-right corner.
