The following list of prohibited content includes illegal products, violence, and prescription or recreational drugs. You should also avoid speaking directly to your target audience. You can’t exaggerate your expectations. Furthermore, you should not use all-caps in your ad. And, of course, don’t advertise your product or service to a large group of people. Instead, speak to a small group of people in your niche.

Illegal, prescription or recreational drugs

While it’s tempting to use Facebook to promote your product or service, there are certain rules to follow. For example, you cannot advertise pornography or any sort of nudity. You can’t use sexually suggestive language in your ads, though ads about contraception and family planning are okay. You can’t also advertise illicit drugs or illegal prescription medications. And you can’t use Facebook to promote penny auctions or bidding fees for bogus documents.

Illegal, prescription or recreational drugs are not permitted in Facebook ads. However, Facebook has made some exceptions to its rules. For instance, ads for recreational drugs or smoking accessories are prohibited. The company is trying to protect users from misinformation and wants to keep the website clean and safe. Advertisements about CBD are allowed, but you should be careful about the content you post. For the most part, you shouldn’t use photos of marijuana or illegal prescription drugs.

Illegal products

There are several laws regarding what is not allowed in Facebook ads. In most cases, you must target individuals who are at least 18 years old. Also, you cannot advertise controversial products or services. Those products that use controversial symbols and are illegal will be disapproved. This is because such products fall under different laws around the world. Advertising such products and services would be difficult to control for Facebook. If you have any doubts, contact Facebook’s customer support team.

While advertising alcohol on Facebook is generally fine, it’s important to know what is not allowed. The rules are strict when it comes to advertising alcohol, but you can still advertise tobacco. For example, you can’t advertise drugs and recreational marijuana. This is because Facebook perceives these products as harmful. You can, however, advertise tobacco and smoking-related accessories. These products are allowed in Facebook ads as long as they are targeted to people over 18 years old.

Violence

Advertising on Facebook is governed by a strict set of rules. As of October 1, 2017, you can’t promote anything that encourages violence or mentions dangerous individuals or organizations. You can’t post advertisements about animal fights, suicide or other acts of violence. You also can’t use images of violence or depict scenes from violent movies. Here are some other examples of prohibited topics:

Earlier this month, the campaign group Women, Action, and the Media called on advertisers to pull their support from Facebook to stop hate speech. This came after the publication of a report by Global Witness that found many problems with the ad filtering function. However, the report was conducted before the recent riots in Northern Ireland. Hence, there is still room for improvement. However, it’s important to note that these rules are only effective if the social network wants to avoid major backlash.

Surveillance equipment

Using Facebook ads to promote surveillance equipment is against Facebook’s policy. Unlike other social media platforms, Facebook does not allow advertisements for surveillance equipment. This is because such ads violate the privacy and rights of others. Facebook also prohibits ads for illegal products and services, including tobacco and firearms. These products are often viewed by teenagers, and Facebook has taken steps to prevent such advertising. To avoid being banned from Facebook, consider using Mailchimp to create and update your ad.

While it is tempting to promote the latest spy gear, don’t advertise surveillance equipment. Not only is it illegal to use surveillance equipment on social networks, it can also put you in legal trouble. Therefore, before using Facebook ads to market surveillance equipment, make sure to get the appropriate trade agreement from the brand owner. Facebook’s community rules on advertising also prohibit the use of surveillance equipment, including spy cams, mobile phone trackers, and hidden surveillance devices.

What is Not Allowed in Facebook Ads?
