Besides limiting the number of friends who can see your posts, you can also delete some of your posts. However, this does not prevent malicious people from accessing these personal details. This social networking site has recently been involved in numerous privacy and security scandals. The complaint details a few possible solutions.<\/p>\n<p>The FTC&#8217;s complaint alleges that Facebook violated the 2012 order by sharing data with third-party developers and friends with restrictive privacy settings. The company added a disclosure in May 2012 to its central privacy settings page to let users know that certain information could be shared with third-party apps that use the user&#8217;s Facebook profile. However, the disclosure was removed four months later, after the FTC&#8217;s order was finalized. This was because Facebook failed to take adequate steps to restrict access to this information.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Hide_a_persons_name_on_Facebook\"><\/span>Hide a person&#8217;s name on Facebook<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you wish to avoid the possibility of your friend finding out who you are on Facebook, you can easily hide a person&#8217;s name from your profile. Facebook allows you to hide two friends from your profile by changing your privacy settings. In the top-right corner, click on the Custom option. In the section called &#8220;Don&#8217;t share with,&#8221; type in the names of the friends you don&#8217;t want to see. Click Save Changes to apply the change. Once you&#8217;ve done that, you&#8217;re done! Now, you can stop them from seeing any of your other Facebook friends.<\/p>\n<p>Hide a person&#8217;s name from a Facebook profile has two benefits. First of all, it allows you to block people who post offensive or derogatory content. It also prevents unwanted attention from your friends&#8217; timeline. You can hide their name from your profile as long as they don&#8217;t like your posts.
