To fix it, you can follow the steps outlined below. You should note that the steps in this article are not permanent. If you don&#8217;t follow them, your account may be locked.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Login_approvals_are_triggered_when_youve_logged_in_to_your_account\"><\/span>Login approvals are triggered when you&#8217;ve logged in to your account<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Previously, you had to be a Facebook user to enable Login Approvals. Using this new feature, you will need to enter a security code to access your account. This code will then be sent to your mobile phone, and you&#8217;ll be prompted to name your computer. After you enter the code, you&#8217;ll be prompted to confirm your identity.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Login Approvals&#8217; are a strong security feature for Facebook, and they protect your account from unauthorized access. They also prevent account abuse in the event that a user&#8217;s password is compromised. Facebook is currently working on a new way to implement the security feature, and users can choose to limit this restriction to only their mobile phone number. For now, however, users should take note that the restriction on search will only be temporary. Other websites require users to install authentication software, or purchase physical tokens to prevent unauthorized logins.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve ever tried to login to Facebook from a new device and failed, you may have to enable Login Approvals. Login Approvals will send a text message containing a 6-digit security code to your mobile phone. If you are unable to enter the code, you&#8217;ll need to create a new name for the device. Click the dropdown menu located on the top right of the screen, directly next to the Help icon. Choose &#8220;Account&#8221; and enter your password. After that, click &#8220;Edit profile.&#8221; Choose the name you want to change and click &#8220;Submit.&#8221; If you haven&#8217;t changed your name on Facebook yet, you can find the instructions for doing so below.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook will not change your name if it isn&#8217;t your real name. The process will vary depending on the version of Facebook you&#8217;re using. First, click on the arrow in the upper right corner of the page. Select &#8220;Account Settings.&#8221; From here, you can edit your name. Next, type in the new name details. Enter your confirmation password. Repeat the process to update your name.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t feel comfortable providing your real name on Facebook, you can use another name if you&#8217;d like. But Facebook also has guidelines for profile names. Users should use a name that their friends know them as. Otherwise, Facebook may lock you out of the site. So if you&#8217;re worried about being harassed or scammed, it&#8217;s best to use a name you&#8217;re comfortable with.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Theyre_triggered_when_you_request_to_change_your_photo\"><\/span>They&#8217;re triggered when you request to change your photo<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To fix the problem of &#8220;Facebook confirms your identity when you request to change the photo on your profile,&#8221; you must first upload a photo of your ID. If you are having trouble confirming your identity, this may be caused by someone claiming your profile. Or, it could be that you are experiencing trouble logging in with your password. If you are not sure if you have the right ID to prove your identity, try logging in on another computer or browser.<\/p>\n<p>Changing your photo on Facebook requires you to provide acceptable forms of identification, such as a birth certificate, driver&#8217;s license, passport, green card, social security card, bank statement, and medical records. Facebook says that all these forms of identification are encrypted, but you should still make sure that the document is original. Facebook recently found a security flaw in almost 50 million accounts, which allowed hackers to gain access to 14 million accounts.<\/p>\n<p>If the problem persists, log in to Facebook on an old device and confirm your identity again. Sometimes, this will fix the problem. Then, you may be prompted to confirm your identity by email or phone. If this doesn&#8217;t work, you may be required to verify your identity using other methods.
