Using a cover photo on your Facebook profile can boost your profile&#8217;s visual appeal and increase your reach.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Choosing_a_special_ad_category\"><\/span>Choosing a special ad category<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Using a Special Ad Category on your Facebook page will allow you to target specific demographics for your ads. Facebook has created these categories as a means to enforce its anti-discrimination policies. Specifically, it is against the law to discriminate based on gender, age, or geographic location. Facebook chose these categories because of historical examples of discrimination. It also narrows the options available to advertisers.<\/p>\n<p>To begin using this feature, you must select a category and choose an audience. Special category ads cannot use saved audiences. The audience must be 18 years old or older. Creating &#8220;lookalike&#8221; audiences is not allowed for special category ads. You can only choose an audience with similar online behavior. Choosing a special ad category is an excellent way to target a specific demographic, but you should know the limitations.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Adding_a_description_to_your_Facebook_page\"><\/span>Adding a description to your Facebook page<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Adding a description to your Facebook page can help your audience get to know your business and understand what you have to offer.
