While many users have accepted Facebook&#8217;s default settings, these changes will force them to be more aware of their settings. It will also allow for more customization of those settings. Users can now opt-in to various settings, such as public posts, friend requests, and information about their friends. Hopefully, these changes will encourage people to review their settings on a regular basis and make any changes necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Although Facebook is widely used, it can be hard to remember which settings control which third-party applications can access your data. The good news is that you can turn off many of these tracking services through Facebook&#8217;s privacy settings. Simply click the downward-pointing arrow on your Facebook screen and choose Settings. Then select Privacy. Scroll down to Apps and Websites and click the box next to the app you wish to disable. Click &#8220;Remove&#8221; when you are done.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sharing_on_Facebook\"><\/span>Sharing on Facebook<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In order to share a post, you can use Facebook&#8217;s &#8220;Share&#8221; feature. This feature allows you to point your friends to another person&#8217;s post. Once you&#8217;ve shared a post, it will disappear from the original poster&#8217;s Timeline. To check whether a post has been shared, you can use the &#8220;Share&#8221; button in the original post. Here, you should see the text &#8220;# share&#8221; next to it.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike other social networking platforms, sharing on Facebook has a number of benefits. By triggering Facebook&#8217;s algorithm, you&#8217;re guaranteed that your content will reach people who are not already fans. It also serves as a subtle referral for others to read your content. But you should be careful what you share. Facebook employees warn against spreading misinformation and other harmful content. To ensure that your content is shared safely, you should avoid creating posts asking people to share.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Customizing_your_News_Feed\"><\/span>Customizing your News Feed<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are several ways to customize your News Feed on Facebook. Firstly, you can select which types of content you want to see. Facebook has many options for you to choose from, including the ability to hide posts or edit the default quality of your videos. Then, you can choose whether to show captions on your videos. If you want to see more of your friends&#8217; posts, you can change the default caption setting.<\/p>\n<p>To customize your News Feed, you can access the settings from the drop-down arrow at the right of the blue menu bar. Click on News Feed Preferences to see and edit these options. On mobile, tap the More icon in the bottom right and scroll down to settings. From there, tap News Feed Preferences. You can also modify the settings for &#8216;See First&#8217;. This setting is universal.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Friend_requests\"><\/span>Friend requests<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A good way to keep track of your Facebook friend requests is to create a list of all the people you know and have connected with. Then you can reply to all of them at once. Make sure you include enough information about yourself. Facebook will notify you when a friend request is made. Once you&#8217;ve received several friend requests, you can modify your list if you need to. Alternatively, you can check your notification feed to see who has accepted your friend request.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook limits the amount of people it allows to send you friend requests. You may not receive more than 5,000 friend requests at one time. Facebook also recommends friends based on your interests. You can find these people by using the &#8220;People You May Know&#8221; section, dedicated page, or Facebook search. This feature is not disabled. Facebook allows you to control the notifications you get from people you may know by going to your settings page.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Setting_up_a_Facebook_account\"><\/span>Setting up a Facebook account<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>First, you will need to sign up for an account. You will need to input your name, gender, email address, and date of birth. When you have finished the registration process, Facebook will send you a confirmation code. Click on the link to complete the process. You will be directed to the Facebook signup page where you can confirm your identity. To continue, fill in the other fields in the About section. Once you have filled out all of these fields, click Create Account.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have created your profile, you can choose who can search for you through your email address and who can see your profile. You can also limit the types of adverts you see, such as those that are based on your Facebook activity and external websites. In this way, Facebook will not display any ads that are irrelevant to you and your interests. When you choose a profile photo, you will also be able to see how many times you&#8217;ve been tagged in other people&#8217;s posts.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Managing_your_account\"><\/span>Managing your account<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Managing your account on Facebook involves adjusting your privacy settings to control who can view your posts, page, list, and contact details. You can also change the settings of who can look up your profile via email address and phone number. Facebook also allows other websites to link to your profile, but you can set the visibility of your profile to friends only. In the right-hand panel, click Manage Contact Options. Here, you can control who can find you and add you to their friends list.<\/p>\n<p>To deactivate your account, you can log in and click on the drop-down arrow in the upper right corner of the page. Select &#8220;General Account Settings&#8221; if you are not automatically directed to this page.
