These aren&#8217;t always as intrusive, but some are, so they&#8217;re better than skipping the entire video.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"YouTube_has_revised_its_terms_of_service_to_allow_ads_on_channels_not_part_of_the_YouTube_Partner_Program\"><\/span>YouTube has revised its terms of service to allow ads on channels not part of the YouTube Partner Program<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The change makes it possible for independent content creators to monetize their videos, including YouTube. The changes include new data privacy protections for users, as well as a new right to monetize content. In addition, the company has explicitly forbidden the collection of identifying information without consent, something it says has always been part of its policies. Similarly, the company explicitly rejects the use of facial recognition software for data collection.<\/p>\n<p>YouTube has also added a new section to its Terms of Service, allowing ads on all Channels, even those not part of the YouTube Partner Program. The new amendment will allow advertisers to monetize any type of content on the site, including videos that do not qualify for the Partner Program. Depending on the resolution, it can have a resolution of up to 426&#215;240 (240p) or up to 3840&#215;2160 (2160p). It can also have a companion banner and call-to-action. Like video ads, you can use advanced targeting to narrow your audience. Using YouTube Placements, you can create multiple placements and search for a specific video content ID. Then, simply upload the ad to YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>YouTube audio ads work in much the same way as video ads, with similar features such as cost-per-thousand-impression (CPM) pricing. The ads are also targeted to music-related content. Like video ads, audio ads only appear on YouTube videos; whereas video ads can be placed across multiple playlists, channels, and categories. Currently, YouTube is testing dynamic music lineup targeting options for audio ads.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"YouTubes_double_ads_are_more_effective_than_interrupting_the_entire_video\"><\/span>YouTube&#8217;s double ads are more effective than interrupting the entire video<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Using YouTube&#8217;s double ads reduces the number of interruptions by 40%. YouTube recommends videos based on your search history, so double ads are less disruptive for users. They also allow for a call-to-action button to be added. The more effective YouTube double ads make it possible for advertisers to reach out to viewers without interrupting the entire video. But how do you make them work? Read on to find out.<\/p>\n<p>One major downside to mid-roll ads is that they&#8217;re highly distracting to viewers. YouTube could have done better by limiting the number of ads that are shown. In addition, it could have increased the cost for businesses to advertise on its platform. But despite the potential cost to advertisers, content creators aren&#8217;t seeing much of an increase in AdSense revenue. If you&#8217;re one of them, then chances are you have tried the following solutions:<\/p>\n<p>Non-skippable video ads appear midway through YouTube videos. They cannot be skipped, and they require the user to watch the entire length of the ad. Non-skippable ads are particularly effective for brand awareness campaigns, as they don&#8217;t invite hundreds of thousands of ad skips. YouTube charges per 1000 views or impression. However, some users still prefer to skip the ads.<\/p>\n<p>Another way to skip YouTube video ads is to turn them off completely. You can&#8217;t skip 30-second ads anymore, but you can skip 15-second commercials. That way, you&#8217;ll only be presented with ads that are relevant to your search. While this option isn&#8217;t ideal, at least you won&#8217;t have to spend precious time watching them if you don&#8217;t want to.
