These are two other benefits of YouTube Premium. Users of these services can also enjoy background playback and ad-blocking, a feature that can be particularly useful for long-form videos.<\/p>\n<p>The service is available on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, Xbox One, Android and iOS devices, and select Smart TVs. In addition to its mobile app, YouTube Premium is compatible with a wide range of devices. This means that users can view videos on a variety of different devices, and they can even save them to watch later on their devices. Its line-up of original programming includes the dark comedy TV series On Becoming a God in Central Florida executive-produced by George Clooney and starring Kirsten Dunst, the sci-fi drama Origin (starring Tom Felton and Natalia Tena), the comedy-drama Weird City (starring Kevin Bacon), and the noir thriller Dark Cargo, which was recently given a pilot order by the service.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the high cost of paying for a subscription, YouTube is doubling down on its ad-supported model and is now allowing users to watch all the videos on its platform &#8211; including long-form content. Since May, YouTube has expanded its ad formats and launched &#8220;Free to watch&#8221; sections on its paid vertical. Users who want uninterrupted watching of video content will be able to enjoy these new features without incurring additional costs.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Contribution_to_content_creators\"><\/span>Contribution to content creators<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>YouTube premium subscribers have access to a new feature called &#8220;Super Chat.&#8221; Similarly to Twitch, viewers can pay for a message to be displayed at the top of the live stream and answered in the chat. Creators with over 1,000 subscribers can access this feature. YouTube is testing this new feature to see how it works before it makes it available to all subscribers. In the meantime, you can use the free version of the feature to test it out.<\/p>\n<p>The premium version of YouTube lets users contribute to content creators&#8217; watch time. Every video available for free on the site also appears under YouTube Premium. The money users contribute to a creator&#8217;s &#8216;Watch Time&#8217; is part of the revenue from YouTube Premium. If a video receives more than a certain amount of watch time, the creator receives a percentage of that revenue.
