Among the things they teased was the addition of Single Loop, support for video chapters, and a new feature called Picture-in-picture mode. But there is much more to the YouTube Update 2022 than just those features. YouTube is also planning to incorporate some tech buzz words that other tech companies have been rumored about.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Single_Loop\"><\/span>Single Loop<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>YouTube recently announced a few changes to its video sharing platform, including a new Single Loop button on videos. Before, the Loop button only allowed you to share individual chapters of a video, but with the new feature, you can choose a specific moment in a video to keep on looping. This feature is currently available on desktop and mobile platforms, but you can&#8217;t manually change it yourself. It is a server-side update.<\/p>\n<p>The Single Loop feature was already available on YouTube for web viewers, but this update brings a number of improvements. For starters, you can now choose to loop individual videos in a single continuous loop. This feature was added to YouTube in May, and you can now jump to any segment in a video, allowing you to rewatch or replay a section. YouTube also introduced this new feature to smart TVs and gaming consoles, giving users a more versatile viewing experience.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Support_for_video_chapters\"><\/span>Support for video chapters<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Support for video chapters on smart TVs is coming. YouTube introduced video chapters in May 2020, allowing viewers to jump to a specific section of a video. The support will come in two flavors: manually by the creator of the video or automatically by YouTube. For creators, video chapters will provide a great deal of convenience, and they&#8217;ll also be easier to implement for smart TV users. This feature will be rolled out to all devices by early 2022.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking for ways to attract more viewers to your videos, adding video chapters is the way to go. YouTube has a new feature that will allow video creators to highlight the best parts of their content. With video chapters, viewers will be able to quickly find content they&#8217;re interested in, and they&#8217;ll be more likely to subscribe and like your videos. However, there&#8217;s a downside to using video chapters.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Picture-in-picture_mode\"><\/span>Picture-in-picture mode<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The picture-in-picture mode is finally coming to the YouTube app for iOS. Users who have the latest version of iOS can finally experience the new feature. While the beta version of the feature was released in June 2021, it was only available for YouTube Premium subscribers for a limited time. However, YouTube has now extended the beta period to April 8 so that all YouTube subscribers can test out the new feature.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, this feature was available only for Android users and was only available to Premium users for a limited time. Now, the feature has finally arrived for iOS users, but not without some problems. YouTube has said that it will roll out the update for iPhone and iPad users over the next few days. If you can&#8217;t wait that long, here are some workarounds to get Picture-in-Picture on iOS.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Way_to_add_corrections_to_YouTube_clips\"><\/span>Way to add corrections to YouTube clips<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Creators who want to correct a mistake in their video will now be able to add corrections to their videos after they upload. A new feature will allow you to do so by creating an info card in the top right corner of the video, and viewers can click on it to read the correction notes. YouTube will now display this information card in a video player, so you can add a correction to any clip on your channel.<\/p>\n<p>Corrections will be available to all YouTube creators by the end of June, and will become more common after July. Once you have your corrections on, you can click the &#8220;View corrections&#8221; button and see the YouTube creator&#8217;s explanation of the change.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Way_to_connect_your_phone_to_your_TV\"><\/span>Way to connect your phone to your TV<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The upcoming way to connect your phone to your TV is similar to how you can cast YouTube videos from your mobile device to your TV. It will allow you to watch videos on your big screen while retaining the playback buttons and video description. The new feature is rolling out today, but it may take some time to catch on. Meanwhile, Google is testing a new design for its watch page. Users will be able to browse products featured in videos.<\/p>\n<p>Besides connecting your phone to your TV, you can also use the built-in interface of your TV to watch YouTube content on your big screen. For this, you will need a TV that supports Google TV. However, you can also use your phone or tablet to stream content to your TV via AirPlay or Bluetooth.
