TikTok&#8217;s draft folder is a convenient place to store videos you&#8217;re not ready to post. Just make sure that you know the guidelines for saving TikTok videos safely.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"TikTok_users_cannot_switch_between_devices_to_edit_drafts\"><\/span>TikTok users cannot switch between devices to edit drafts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can save your drafts on your device and upload them later, but you cannot edit them once you post them. This feature is limited to the device you shot the video on, not to other devices. While it is possible to change the privacy level of your videos, you cannot switch between devices to edit your drafts. You cannot switch between devices to edit drafts in TikTok, and you cannot switch back to your old device to save them again.<\/p>\n<p>In TikTok, drafts are saved locally. This means that they will be saved on the device you shot them on, and will disappear if you switch devices. This is the case unless you uninstall TikTok from your phone. You can choose whether to make them public or private. The former option means that the video will not be visible on the user&#8217;s profile. However, the latter option will be visible to those who are following you. Another feature you can use is the &#8220;allow duet&#8221; or &#8220;allow stitch&#8221; option, which allows other TikTokkers to react to your videos simultaneously.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have uploaded your video, you cannot edit it. However, you can repost it and add a new caption. To do this, select the video that you wish to repost. Tap the &#8220;+&#8221; symbol at the bottom right of the screen. Then tap &#8220;Upload&#8221; on the right side of the red record button. The video will then be saved to your phone.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"You_cant_delete_drafts\"><\/span>You can&#8217;t delete drafts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you use Tiktok to communicate with people all over the world, you&#8217;ve probably noticed that you can&#8217;t delete drafts. This problem happens if you accidentally delete a draft and then log back on to the app. While you can copy your draft to another messaging app, you can&#8217;t delete it from the app itself. You can, however, paste it back into the original Tiktok window.<\/p>\n<p>In some cases, this is a problem because the app syncs with other apps or social media accounts. For example, you can use Facebook or Gmail to pre-fill your name and email when creating a TikTok video. If you have a phone number associated with your Facebook account, you can use this same feature on TikTok. This is especially useful if you want to post a video to your personal account or have a link to share with your friends.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"You_cant_view_them_outside_of_the_app\"><\/span>You can&#8217;t view them outside of the app<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve created drafts and shared them with others, you may have discovered that they don&#8217;t display well outside the app. This is because drafts are not viewable by default. They won&#8217;t appear in page trees and search results. To change this behavior, you need to choose the lock icon next to your draft&#8217;s publish button. This allows you to control which people can access your drafts.<\/p>\n<p>When saving a video as a draft, you won&#8217;t see it until you post it. Drafts are stored locally on your device. Because of this, they won&#8217;t disappear as long as you&#8217;re logged in. But they won&#8217;t get uploaded to the cloud, and they take up space on your device.
