In December 2021, a 10-year-old girl&#8217;s death was linked to the Blackout Challenge, and parents are suing the company. TikTok promotes its &#8220;challenges&#8221; on the site, and children are a high target for their advertising. The social media platform is aware that the blackout challenge is a risky trend, and failed to act on this could lead to further injuries and deaths.
