With Fleets, you can automatically send tweets to fleets of people who share the same interests as you.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tweets\"><\/span>Tweets<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When you have something to share on Twitter, why not try using Twitter Fleets? These fleets are a great way to highlight tweets and create brand awareness. Like Instagram stories, fleets have a 24-hour lifespan. However, they have their limits, and you may not want to keep them longer than necessary. To get the most out of your fleets, consider how you can optimize their content. Listed below are some tips to get the most out of your fleets.<\/p>\n<p>As you can see, Twitter has a new feature called Fleets. You can now post anything to your fleet, but you will only see those tweets that have been &#8220;received&#8221; by your followers. This feature has some benefits, but you can&#8217;t make a lot of money with it. You may want to consider other options for marketing your tweets, like Facebook&#8217;s AdWords. The Twitter company hopes Fleets will be a big hit in the social media space.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Photos\"><\/span>Photos<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can turn your existing tweets into Twitter Fleets by using the &#8220;Share&#8221; icon (a box with an upward pointing arrow). To do so, tap the Share icon and select &#8220;Edit.&#8221; This will enable you to add text and\/or images to your post. Depending on the type of post, you can also change the color and background of the text. After you&#8217;ve saved your post, you can view it in your Twitter feed and reply to it.<\/p>\n<p>To make the changes appear on your Twitter photo stream, you can turn on Wi-Fi and Mobile Data. Then, open the Fleets page and swipe right or left. This will allow you to see the photo stream without having to log out of Twitter. Tap the Fleet adjacent to the one you&#8217;d like to view. This workaround will work in the short term but may not work when Twitter rolls out an update to the app. Make sure you back up your photos before publishing them, as this will prevent accidental updates.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Videos\"><\/span>Videos<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you have a fleet account on Twitter, you can upload videos and images to your feed. But videos and images can only be 30 seconds long. In order to post them, you must first trim the audio and video to the right length. Twitter offers a few tools to cut the videos down to a manageable size. Here are the steps you need to follow to upload a video to your Fleets. Then, you must make sure to add a background image.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to images and videos, you can also post text to tweets and photos using Twitter&#8217;s Fleets. The Twitter Share icon, which looks like a box with an upward-pointing arrow, allows you to convert an existing tweet into a fleet. You can still add text to the tweet but it will not show up in the timeline. The color of the text and background will also change. Twitter will be conducting tests on how to make fleets work better, but the update is not expected to have a major impact right away.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Reactions\"><\/span>Reactions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Reactions to Twitter Fleets are a bit mixed. While the feature isn&#8217;t yet a mainstay of the platform, it is slowly gaining popularity. Like Instagram Stories, Fleets sends DMs when users react to your story. However, Twitter&#8217;s notifications tend to feel more intrusive. To prevent the intrusion, you can turn off the notifications. For now, you can use Twitter&#8217;s DMs to share your stories.<\/p>\n<p>As of right now, Fleets are visible only in the mobile app and aren&#8217;t finalized for the desktop platform. You can send fleets in text, photos, or videos, and customize the background colors and text. You can also reply to fleets in direct messages (DMs), which means you can send replies in the same way as you send tweets. But what if you want to communicate with a friend in real life? Fleets may not be for you.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Text\"><\/span>Text<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Twitter is getting rid of its Fleets feature on August 3. The idea behind the fleets feature was to encourage twits to tweet about certain issues. The ephemeral nature of the feature would reduce the chances of viral intimidation and errant users. In fact, Twitter reported that five out of nine tweets on Fleets were about the feature&#8217;s demise. So, who will benefit from the feature? And what will happen to the users who use it?<\/p>\n<p>Fleets were originally introduced eight months ago and became available globally in November 2020. Some Twitter employees are already saying goodbye. The team that designed the Fleets feature says it wanted to create something &#8220;raw and authentic&#8221; that would be different than tweeting. The feature will also include text formatting options and GIF stickers. Twitter also plans to continue to emphasize its audio chat tool Spaces. However, the new features are only temporary and will likely be rolled out slowly.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Emojis\"><\/span>Emojis<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Twemojis, which are animated pictures that work similar to social media stickers, are now available on Twitter. They sport designs exclusive to Twitter. While you can still send your regular text messages using fleets, you can now send emojis by adding them to your posts. You can use two fingers to rotate and scale Twemojis. Then, hit the white Fleet button at the top right corner of your screen to send them.<\/p>\n<p>Twemojis were recently added to the Fleets feature. They&#8217;re similar to Snapchat&#8217;s temporary posts but better suited for Twitter. Instead of deleting the message, a Twemoji stays on the internet until deleted. This means that fleets make great replacements for pictures. Users can now add Twemojis to their tweets to give them more character.
