For maximum comfort, you should enable it at night and off in the morning. The dimming effect is similar to the Night Mode from 2016.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Lights-out_mode\"><\/span>Lights-out mode<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are a few steps that you can take to enable Lights-out mode on Twitter. To start, you must force-stop the app. This will clear your cache and reset the app to its default settings. Next, you will have to enable the Dark Mode setting in the app. After you&#8217;ve done that, tap on the Lights-out mode toggle. It should appear as a dark icon on the app.<\/p>\n<p>Twitter has released a dark mode for Android users, following the same launch for iOS last month. This mode is a variant of its original Dark mode, which was launched earlier this year. Lights Out turns the Twitter app&#8217;s UI into pitch black to save battery life. Users can switch between the two by tapping on the lightbulb in their profile images. After enabling the Dark Mode, the Twitter app&#8217;s interface will appear pitch black, which is useful for OLED displays, which are more energy-efficient.<\/p>\n<p>Lights-out mode on Twitter is available in the iOS app. The dark mode looks similar to Twitter&#8217;s default Dim mode, but the blue tint is gone. Lights-out mode also saves battery life on OLED displays. This mode is not available to all users yet, but it&#8217;s expected to be available in the near future. It&#8217;s likely to come to Android users in the future. While there&#8217;s still a long way to go before the dark mode is available to all users, Twitter seems to be announcing new features regularly.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dark_mode\"><\/span>Dark mode<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve been wondering how to make Twitter dark mode on your iPhone or iPad, you&#8217;re in luck. The process is fairly similar to iOS, with the exception of scheduling. Open the Twitter app and tap the three lines in the top-left corner of the screen. Now tap the light bulb icon. Then tap the Automatic at sunset button. That&#8217;ll switch Twitter to dark mode automatically. This method works with most other apps, but it does not yet tie into the systemwide settings.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to being more convenient to view, dark mode on mobile devices can also save battery life and reduce eye strain. Just follow the steps outlined above to enable dark mode on your favorite social networking platform. Once you&#8217;ve done this, simply tap the icon next to the dark blue background and choose Lights Out or Dim. After you&#8217;ve selected the option, click OK. If you&#8217;re on a mobile device, you can also use Lights Out to make the Twitter app appear in dark mode.<\/p>\n<p>To enable Twitter&#8217;s dark mode, first make sure you have the latest version of the app. It&#8217;s not an official feature of the Twitter Android app, but the iOS app has it. Once you&#8217;ve downloaded the latest version of Twitter, go to the settings menu of the app. Scroll down to the display and sound tab and tap on Dark mode. Once you&#8217;ve enabled dark mode, you can toggle the feature off anytime by touching the slider.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Turning_on_dark_mode\"><\/span>Turning on dark mode<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Before Twitter launched its night mode, it did not have an option for users to turn it on automatically at sunset. Users could only activate it manually, or set their system to automatically switch it on at sunset. The process for Twitter is similar to that of the iOS version. To enable the dark mode on your Android phone, open the Twitter app, tap on the three lines in the upper-left corner, and then tap the light bulb icon. Then, tap the Automatic at sunset option to toggle the Twitter app between light and dark mode. As of today, the Android version of Twitter does not tie into the systemwide dark mode settings.<\/p>\n<p>You can find the dark mode setting under the settings menu in the Twitter app. This menu is located on the top left corner of your screen. Select the privacy, accessibility, display, languages, and dark mode settings. Click the &#8216;Dark Mode&#8217; option. Follow the rest of the steps as above. Once you&#8217;ve enabled the dark mode on your Twitter app, you can start using it. While dark mode isn&#8217;t for everyone, it&#8217;s a nice feature that users may find useful.<\/p>\n<p>Once you enable dark mode on your Twitter app, you can enjoy the benefits of less eye strain and more sleep. In addition to that, dark mode can improve battery life on mobile devices. If you&#8217;re on Twitter on your phone, you can enable dark mode on your phone by tapping the icon next to the dark blue background in the app&#8217;s settings.
