We used a simple model to test the hypothesis that the number of retweets is negatively correlated with the number of followers.<\/p>\n<p>We found that the number of retweets is significantly related to the Mentions Count, the most accurate metric to estimate the volume of retweets. Removing Mentions Count from the analysis decreased the overall accuracy, precision, recall, and Kappa index. Nevertheless, the method remained applicable to many other fields. For instance, the model is applicable in early monitoring, emergency response, information diffusion, and marketing. The model was also developed in the context of smart city projects, where the information dissemination and alerting capacity of the population is essential.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Retweet_with_comment\"><\/span>Retweet with comment<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Retweet with comment in Twitter lets you re-share a tweet, add a comment, and post up to four images or videos.
