He appeared before Congress in March, where he irked lawmakers with his Twitter posts during the hearing. However, he defended the decision as the &#8220;right thing to do&#8221; and said he wanted to &#8220;move the conversation in the right direction.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Elon_Musk\"><\/span>Elon Musk<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX is reportedly considering handing over the CEO position at Twitter to a newcomer. The news has led many in the big tech community to speculate that Musk would sell the company and find someone else to take the reins. Musk has lined up several investors, including Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, who has invested $1 billion in the company. He has been accused of dual leadership, serving as CEO of social networking website Twitter as well as payment-processing company Square. Twitter shares rose and subsequently fell 11 percent as news of his resignation became public. Dorsey&#8217;s exit comes as the company faces intense scrutiny over the way it has grown and operated.
