We will learn about the history and current position of this company, as well as its owners.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Elon_Musk\"><\/span>Elon Musk<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Since last month, Elon Musk has been accumulating shares in Twitter. On Friday, his investment was worth $2.89 billion. Today, it is worth $3.7 billion. Musk&#8217;s Twitter share price represents a tiny fraction of his $270 billion net worth. Musk has a history of sharing everything on Twitter. However, he was uncharacteristically vague about the purchase. He didn&#8217;t say why he chose to acquire the social networking site.<\/p>\n<p>Tweet-owners should be prepared for some changes. The new CEO will have more authority than the current one. Musk is expected to take over the CEO position of Twitter temporarily once the deal closes. Although, it is unclear what will happen to the existing Twitter C-suite. The company&#8217;s current CEO, Parag Agrawal, has been in the position for only five months. Elon Musk has not publicly discussed the future of Twitter&#8217;s leadership.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Jack_Dorsey\"><\/span>Jack Dorsey<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Jack Dorsey is the owner and CEO of Twitter, a social networking service that began in March 2006. He has a background in technical fields, but his career path led him to deal with the many social and political issues that surround the site. These issues include misinformation, abuse, and even the effect of Twitter on a person&#8217;s mental health. Jack Dorsey began sending tweets to the world in March 2006, when he first posted &#8220;Just setting up my twttr.&#8221; Since then, he has expanded his profile to include over 6 million followers.<\/p>\n<p>Dorsey attended Bishop DuBourg High School in St. Louis and then enrolled at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, which he left after two years. During this time, he attended punk rock concerts and considered starting his own company. Despite pursuing the idea of a company, Dorsey dropped out in his final year at New York University to work on the idea for Twitter. The first tweet appeared on March 21, 2006.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Donald_Trump\"><\/span>Donald Trump<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey says he takes no pride in removing President Trump&#8217;s account. The decision to remove the account stems from a failed attempt to promote civil discourse. This comes after a highly emotional week for Silicon Valley, which saw right-wing figures disavow the company&#8217;s power. Employees and the public called for more explanation after a pro-Trump rally turned violent. However, Twitter has continued to suspend tens of thousands of accounts that were deemed inappropriate or inflammatory.<\/p>\n<p>While many Twitter employees are against Mr. Trump, some of them are urging the company to remove his account. In fact, the social media company has suspended Mr. Trump&#8217;s account until he has taken all the offensive tweets down. In the meantime, he can post again after a 12-hour cooling-off period. And Twitter has no plans to take him down permanently. However, it is a step in the right direction.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Parag_Agrawal\"><\/span>Parag Agrawal<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Parag Agrawal is an Indian-American software engineer and the CEO of Twitter, Inc. In a recent interview with Entrepreneur Magazine, he discussed his background and his company&#8217;s future. His background in computer science led him to focus on social networking. The idea behind Twitter was to provide an easy-to-use, social media platform for users to communicate with each other. His unique vision has led to his company&#8217;s growth and continued success.<\/p>\n<p>Agrawal&#8217;s appointment as CEO surprised some Twitter employees. He has a much lower profile inside the company than Dorsey or the other executives. But outside of the company, Agrawal is virtually unknown. Dorsey is known for his bitcoin obsession, his long beard, and his eccentric health habits. Whether or not Agrawal will continue to champion these values will be determined by the direction Twitter takes in the next few years.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Elliott_Management\"><\/span>Elliott Management<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are a few reasons why Elliott Management is unhappy with Jack Dorsey as CEO of Twitter. It seems that the CEO of the company does not have the time to devote to the business, and the activist investors who control the firm do not want him to be the long-term CEO. These are not the reasons why Twitter should be restructured by the company or that Dorsey should be replaced. Instead, Elliott sees an opportunity to boost its stake in Twitter by bringing a new CEO in.<\/p>\n<p>The stake that Elliott Management holds in Twitter is worth $1 billion. It does not control the company, but it does have a significant stake. Elliott wants to replace four of the nine existing Twitter board members with its own nominees. Dorsey reportedly feels pressured to quit. The company has declined to comment on Elliott&#8217;s actions. However, the stake is significant.
