Just make sure that you note down your current password and your new one so you can easily access your account in the future. You can also choose to receive a new password by email or SMS. Just remember to store this new password in a secure place, such as One Drive or Notepad. Once you change your password, you should be able to sign in to Twitter.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Verifying_your_identity_with_a_code\"><\/span>Verifying your identity with a code<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re locked out of your Twitter account, don&#8217;t despair. There are several methods that will enable you to get access to your account again. One of them involves generating a backup code for use when logging in. This method works well, but is not completely foolproof. Twitter will ask you to confirm your identity every time you log in, and it&#8217;s possible to receive the same verification code more than once.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re locked out of your Twitter account for any reason, first try changing your password. Once you&#8217;ve done that, Twitter will email you instructions on how to regain access to your account. Sometimes the emails end up in the spam folder. If this doesn&#8217;t work, contact Twitter&#8217;s customer support team. After you confirm your mobile number, Twitter will take steps to unlock your account.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Reactivating_your_account\"><\/span>Reactivating your account<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Reactivating your Twitter account can be a simple procedure. Generally, the process of reactivation is quick and straightforward, but you can face some problems if you encounter them. If you are not able to reactivate your account for any reason, you should try to log in again later, or visit the help page to see if you can restore your account. If you still cannot reactivate your account, you can report the problem to Twitter support and request a full account restoration. Twitter will take between 24 to 72 hours to restore your data, so you should not worry too much if you see a change in your profile.<\/p>\n<p>Before you can reactivate your Twitter account, you should deactivate it for at least 30 days. After 30 days, Twitter will put your profile data in a queue to be permanently deleted. If you return to Twitter within this period, you can reactivate your account. However, you must sign up for the service again if you wish to reactivate it. Remember that you will lose all the data and information in your account if you delete your account.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Removing_third-party_apps_connected_to_your_account\"><\/span>Removing third-party apps connected to your account<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you want to prevent third-party applications from accessing your account and accessing your private information, you must first remove them. Third-party apps connected to your Twitter account can read your Tweets, update your profile, post Tweets for you, and more. These third-party apps may also access your Direct Messages. You can revoke this access to these third-party applications by following the instructions on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>To remove third-party apps from your Twitter account, log into your Twitter account in your web browser. Next, click on the profile icon. Click on Settings. Then, go to the Apps tab. Then, select the app you want to remove.
