The Twitter app will pause and create a new space on your screen. In the Space, you&#8217;ll see your profile photo. If you&#8217;d like, you can also add speakers to the Space. When you start talking, the microphone will turn on automatically. Once your Space is ready to use, you can share it.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve done this, you&#8217;ll be asked to choose a name for your Space. You can use any title you like, but it&#8217;s recommended that you select something related to the topic. Tap &#8216;Start Your Space&#8217; to go ahead. Once you&#8217;ve created a Space, you can invite your followers to join and respond to it. Twitter keeps your Space for 30 days. Once it ends, users cannot join again.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Create_a_Ticketed_Space\"><\/span>Create a Ticketed Space<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>How to Create a Ticketed Space on Twitter? You can set a space&#8217;s size and start promoting it to your followers. Twitter will remind people to purchase tickets in advance. You can also share details of your space directly to your timeline. In July, Twitter began testing its Shop Module tool, which allows users to purchase items without leaving the app. This tool is currently only available for U.S. users, but Twitter says it will expand to other countries soon.<\/p>\n<p>Ticketed Spaces are a great way to monetize Twitter by allowing users to purchase tickets for your events. Like regular Twitter spaces, ticketed spaces require a fee to gain access. This feature is available to eligible Twitter accounts, so make sure to check if you meet the eligibility requirements before applying. Once approved, tap on the apply button to get started. Then, follow the steps to create your first Space.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Schedule_a_Space\"><\/span>Schedule a Space<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve been planning to schedule a Space on Twitter, now&#8217;s the time to get started. Twitter recently updated Spaces with new features including scheduling and reminders. By clicking on the &#8220;Schedule for later&#8221; button when you begin a new Space, you&#8217;ll be able to choose a time and date that works best for you. Once you&#8217;ve scheduled a Space, you&#8217;ll be able to share it with anyone.<\/p>\n<p>When you create a Space, you&#8217;ll be designated as the host. Once the event is scheduled, you can invite other people to join as speakers and listeners. You can invite up to eleven people at a time. The list of participants will appear on your screen, and you&#8217;ll be able to control how many speakers or listeners you have. Once you start your Space, you can invite others by sending them a Direct Message or sending them a link to your Space page.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Host_a_Space\"><\/span>Host a Space<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Spaces on Twitter are audio chat rooms you can host to connect with people and share information. Twitter users can choose to broadcast their conversations in spaces open to anyone, while non-followers can listen in. Those who host spaces can decide who can join and speak. Creating and maintaining spaces requires the permission of those who use the microphone. However, this new feature is not limited to users of the iOS or Android apps.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in hosting a Space on Twitter, you can sign up to be one of the first to be announced. If you are a new user, you can apply to host a Space by creating an account and gaining at least 600 followers. Then, you can schedule your Space for future dates and invite people to follow you. In the future, Twitter plans to monetize Spaces by allowing creators to charge for their events. In the meantime, it is important to note that you must have the Twitter app installed on your phone in order to host a Space.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Join_a_Space\"><\/span>Join a Space<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you want to host a discussion on Twitter, you can join a Space hosted by another user. Spaces can include up to 13 speakers. Space hosts can invite anyone to participate in a conversation and can choose who speaks when. Participants can also use emojis to add their own commentary. Participants can join by tapping the purple card in the bottom left corner of the Space. Participants can choose to be a speaker or listener and can participate in a discussion in either capacity.<\/p>\n<p>You don&#8217;t need to follow anyone to join a Twitter Space. There are no fees to participate in a Space. You can listen to a Space for free and participate if you want. However, you cannot speak in a Space if you are not a follower. Twitter has billions of users with 363 million monthly active users. Of those, 66% log in every week, and 44% consume content daily on average. These numbers indicate that around 44% of Twitter users are &#8220;silent audience members&#8221; for Spaces.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Record_a_Space\"><\/span>Record a Space<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you want to record a Twitter Space, you&#8217;re in luck. This feature allows everyone to record a live discussion or other event for 30 days. Recordings are publicly available after the event ends, but you can choose to delete them sooner. In most cases, people who record a Space do so on their own. However, Twitter does offer help for enabling the recording feature. It can be downloaded by the host and edited into a podcast or smaller audio clips. You can also share it as a link in a tweet.
