After all, he co-founded the company and served as CEO a couple of times. Later, he was replaced, but he returned in 2015 to take the reins of the company. However, you might be surprised to learn that the CEO of Twitter is still one of the most respected businessmen in the world.<\/p>\n<p>When Jack Dorsey was a teenager, he built his own company. He was interested in text messaging, and worked with biz Stone to build a prototype of Twitter in only two weeks. This prototype was so popular that Evan Williams, who co-founded Odeo, stepped in and invested. In 2006, Jack Dorsey was still in college, and he was already working on Twitter&#8217;s predecessor, Odeo.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Evan_Williams\"><\/span>Evan Williams<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Many people might be surprised to learn that Evan Williams owned Twitter. The founder of the microblogging site was born in Clarks, Nebraska in 1972. He and his co-founders, Biz Stone and Jack Dorsey, saw podcasting as the new radio. Evan&#8217;s business instincts led him to leave Google and pursue the idea of a podcasting service, naming it Twttr. Evan also partnered with entrepreneur Noah Glass.<\/p>\n<p>In April 2017, Evan Williams sold his shares in Twitter. The social media site had been struggling to gain subscribers. He announced that he would use the proceeds from the sale to make political and philanthropic donations. In May 2018, he still owned 3.86% of Twitter. In addition to his ownership of Twitter, he also founded a popular blogging platform called Medium. Earlier this year, he reportedly held almost 5 million shares in the company.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Noah_Glass\"><\/span>Noah Glass<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re wondering if Noah Glass owned Twitter, you&#8217;re not alone. It was a very big deal to the people behind the site. Glass is a highly regarded technology expert who has worked across various industries. Before starting Twitter, he worked in software development all over the world. After leaving the company in 2006, Glass has continued his career in this field. Noah Glass married his wife Keiko in 2008 and the two have a daughter together.<\/p>\n<p>In 2006, Noah Glass met Jack Dorsey while working on his business venture, Odeo. The two were collaborating on a social sharing service when they first came up with the idea. The two worked on the idea in February of 2006. The website was originally called Twttr, but later changed to Twitter. Noah later revealed that he was &#8220;the spiritual leader&#8221; of the Odeo team. Glass&#8217; plan to spin off Twitter as its own company was unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Biz_Stone\"><\/span>Biz Stone<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re wondering what happened to Biz Stone, you&#8217;re not alone. Many people are a little bit shocked to learn that he has stepped down from Twitter. Stone has been an influential figure in the tech industry for several years. He helped launch Xanga, Blogger, Odeo, The Obvious Corporation, and Medium. In 2012, Stone co-founded Jelly, a platform that lets users ask questions and crowdsource answers to them. Jelly was acquired by Pinterest in March. Stone will continue to serve as a special adviser to Pinterest&#8217;s CEO, Evan Sharp.<\/p>\n<p>Stone is a software engineer and businessman. He was born on March 10, 1974, in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Wellesley High School and Northeastern University, although he did not receive a degree from either school. His career trajectory has been largely shaped by his determination and creative thinking. Since then, Stone has worked to reinvent himself and is still a popular voice in tech.
