This means that you want to stop using the social networking site altogether, and deactivating your account signals Twitter that you intend to do this. Once you click &#8220;deactivate&#8221; on your account, you will be asked to enter your password. If you want to keep your account on Twitter, you will have 30 days to change your mind.<\/p>\n<p>To deactivate your Twitter account, you must sign in to the full website. If you&#8217;re using the Twitter app, the deactivation link isn&#8217;t available. To access the full site, navigate to &#8216;Settings and Privacy&#8217;, then scroll down to &#8216;Deactivate my account&#8217;. You&#8217;ll then be prompted to confirm your decision to deactivate your account.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Reactivation_period_of_30_days\"><\/span>Reactivation period of 30 days<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve deleted your Twitter account, you can get it back after a 30-day reactivation period. The process is simple and will restore your account data, but it may take some time. If your account was deleted due to malicious activity, contact Twitter support for help. You&#8217;ll have to create a new account before the reactivation period expires, and you&#8217;ll have to verify the deletion through their help form.<\/p>\n<p>When deleting your Twitter account, you should confirm the deletion by clicking the &#8216;deactivate account&#8217; option. After confirmation, you can choose to reactivate your account if you want to do so later. If you have used a third-party app to reactivate your account, you can also reverse that action. If you want to reactivate your account after 30 days, be sure to remove the third-party application that was responsible for deactivating it in the first place.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Permanent_deletion\"><\/span>Permanent deletion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To permanently delete a Twitter account, you need to disable it first. Deactivating an account instructs the social media website to delete it. To deactivate your account, sign in with your Twitter credentials and select the Settings &amp; Privacy tab. Next, choose &#8220;Disable Account.&#8221; You will be asked to confirm your password. After you&#8217;ve confirmed your password, click the &#8220;Deactivate&#8221; button. Your account will then be deleted.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;d rather start fresh, you can delete your account permanently. If you&#8217;d prefer not to have your information published publicly, you can deactivate your account for thirty days. During this time, you&#8217;ll not be able to read your tweets or send direct messages. If you want to reactivate it later, you can do so. After that, Twitter will delete all the data that you&#8217;ve shared on the service.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Using_mobile_apps\"><\/span>Using mobile apps<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are a few ways to deactivate your Twitter account. First, you must go to the app&#8217;s main page and sign in. Then, tap the &#8216;deactivate account&#8217; link. Twitter will then ask you to confirm your decision. After confirming, it will remove your account information from its database within 30 days. Changing your username or email address is a good idea before you decide to deactivate your account.<\/p>\n<p>If you are not satisfied with the results of deactivation, you can reactivate it. In order to do so, you must log in to your Twitter account within 30 days or 12 months. If you don&#8217;t log in, you can recreate your account, but you will lose all of your tweets. Then, you can reactivate your account by following the steps above.
