By default, Facebook sets privacy to &#8220;Friends only&#8221; for stories, but you can change this to &#8220;Public&#8221; if you want to be more open. You can choose to share your stories only with those you know and trust.<\/p>\n<p>The next step is to choose whom you want to hide your stories from. The privacy settings for Facebook stories allow you to select only specific friends that you want to see your stories. If you don&#8217;t want your entire friend list to see your stories, you can search for those individuals and add them to your story exceptions. This will prevent certain friends from seeing your stories on Facebook, but they won&#8217;t be able to view your stories in the Messenger app. Alternatively, you can choose to hide Facebook stories entirely.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Viewing_other_peoples_stories\"><\/span>Viewing other people&#8217;s stories<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re worried that your private Facebook stories might be exposed to strange viewers, you can change the privacy settings to prevent random viewers from viewing your stories. When you make your stories public, you can let anyone in your Facebook circle see them, but if you want to keep your private stories private, you can change them to &#8220;friends only&#8221; or &#8220;hidden.&#8221; The new settings are likely to reduce the number of odd viewers, but they don&#8217;t completely remove them.<\/p>\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t changed your privacy settings on your Facebook account, you&#8217;ll have to deal with the potential consequences. Facebook is testing a new process for the Stories tab. This means that you will no longer receive a full list of who has viewed your story. Of course, you can still check out the engagement of others in a Facebook story without knowing about it. However, this new process is designed to make managing the conversation easier.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the social media channel, engagement is an important metric. It can be measured in terms of likes, comments, shares, and even expansion of images. Then, you can divide your engagement rate by the number of impressions for your post and convert this into an engagement rate. This engagement rate is then expressed as a percentage. For example, if your Facebook post receives 100 engagements, you&#8217;ve got a 10% engagement rate.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Blocking_non-friends_from_seeing_your_story\"><\/span>Blocking non-friends from seeing your story<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you have changed your privacy settings to &#8220;Friends&#8221; in your profile, you can now block non-friends from viewing your story. This prevents non-friends from seeing your story on your main account. However, this change has some drawbacks. It may not be a good idea to block everyone, since some people will view your story without becoming a friend.
