While Facebook is mostly used to connect with friends and family, some users are more privacy-conscious and wish to limit who they can see on their friends list. In such a case, custom settings can be the solution. These settings will make custom friends only visible to those people you have given access to. Here&#8217;s how to set up a Facebook custom list.<\/p>\n<p>First, go to the Settings tab on your Facebook account. Click the Edit Privacy option in the top right corner. Click the Custom option and type the names of two friends that you want to hide. Next, click Save Changes to save the setting. After this, the two custom friends you&#8217;d like to hide won&#8217;t be able to see anyone else on Facebook. You can use this feature to block certain friends or a whole list from being visible to everyone.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Specific_friends\"><\/span>Specific friends<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are many reasons you might want to hide certain Facebook friends. For example, you might want to keep your personal life separate from your professional life or perhaps you just want to maintain a certain level of peace between friends. Either way, you can improve your privacy settings on Facebook by hiding certain people. Simply go to your profile page and click on the Friends tab. There, you can click Edit to change your privacy settings. First, you can add the person you want to hide to your &#8216;Friends&#8217; list. These people cannot un-friend you, but they are still not visible to others. To add a friend to your restricted list, simply hover over their name and click &#8216;Add to another list.&#8217; Next, you&#8217;ll see that the person has been marked as &#8216;Restricted.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>If you want to restrict who can see your private posts, this is the simplest way to restrict their access. Facebook uses lists to categorize people and keep things private. Once you&#8217;ve added someone to your restricted list, they can&#8217;t see your wall posts, tagged photos, or other personal posts. This can be useful if you want to protect a sensitive relationship, or you just don&#8217;t want others to see your personal posts.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Mobile_app\"><\/span>Mobile app<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You may have noticed that the friends list in your Facebook mobile app is not showing the friends you want to see. While you may not want to be inundated with posts from people you don&#8217;t know, hiding the list is an easy way to ensure you never accidentally share your friends&#8217; information. There are a few options you have when it comes to hiding your friends list, and we&#8217;ll explain the most common ones below.<\/p>\n<p>You can hide your friends list by choosing the privacy level you&#8217;d like it to be visible to other people. Then select &#8220;Hide this list from my friends.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Desktop_browser\"><\/span>Desktop browser<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you are on a desktop computer and would like to control who sees your friends list, you can choose to make it private. Facebook offers a feature that allows you to specify how much of your friends list is visible to the general public. You can choose friends except for yourself, specific friends, or everyone. This feature is available on both Windows and MacOS computers and Chromebooks.
