To do this, visit the settings menu of the Facebook app. There, you will see a new option called &#8220;Dark Mode&#8221;. There, you will find two settings &#8211; Automatic and On. Automatic means that the app will adjust its display to dark mode based on your location. Note that when you switch from light mode to dark mode, you&#8217;ll be changing the entire environment on Facebook, including your pages, profiles, groups, and Messenger.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve enabled dark mode on your Facebook account, you&#8217;ll notice a change on the color scheme of your Facebook page. As previously mentioned, Facebook&#8217;s dark mode feature is not exclusive to the social network, but is becoming more popular with users. Other popular social networks, like Google Search, have made this feature available as well. To enable the dark mode option on Facebook, click on &#8220;Display &amp; Accessibility&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>To enable dark mode on Facebook, make sure you have the latest version installed. If you haven&#8217;t updated your Facebook app, go to the Play Store and check for updates. Then, tap on the hamburger menu, which will open the settings. Scroll down until you find &#8220;Dark Mode&#8221; and tap it. Alternatively, you can use your device&#8217;s system settings to enable the feature. After installing dark mode, make sure you switch back to your normal view.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Using_Google_Chrome\"><\/span>Using Google Chrome<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Earlier this year, Facebook rolled out a new desktop design and added a custom dark mode. The dark mode is optional, but not available to everyone until October 2020. To enable dark mode on Facebook, go to chrome:\/\/flags\/#enable-force-dark and type it after the Facebook URL. After you&#8217;ve done this, Facebook will now be flagged as using dark mode.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve done that, all you need to do is install a dark mode chrome extension. You can get it from the chrome store or add it to your browser. The extension will ask you to change your language, so make sure you choose the correct one. This extension works with all websites, but is particularly helpful when visiting Facebook Messenger. After installing the extension, you&#8217;ll notice three different modes: dark, filtered, and normal. The first mode completely transforms colors, while filtered mode removes all but the brightest. You can also adjust the contrast and brightness of tiny pictures. In normal mode, you can return to the previous browsing experience.<\/p>\n<p>Although Facebook&#8217;s dark mode has been available for some time, it was only available to PCs and Macs in the beginning. The rollout of this feature has been painstakingly slow. You can also try using Google Chrome to access Facebook. Once you&#8217;ve done so, you&#8217;ll be able to use the dark mode on your Android and IOS devices. So, you can now use dark mode on your Facebook experience in a dark environment without sacrificing the lightness of your device.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Using_an_iPhone_or_Android_device\"><\/span>Using an iPhone or Android device<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Activating dark mode on Facebook is really simple. All you have to do is go into the settings menu of your phone and look for the Facebook app. Next to the profile picture, you&#8217;ll find a &#8216;Dark mode&#8217; toggle. After that, just tap on the switch next to the &#8216;Dark mode&#8217; to activate the feature. Once you&#8217;ve done this, you&#8217;re all set to enjoy the dark mode on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>To activate dark mode on Facebook on iOS or Android, you&#8217;ll first need to login to your account. Next, tap the Settings icon located in the top right corner of the screen. Once you&#8217;ve tapped this icon, you&#8217;ll be presented with a drop-down menu of options. Click the dark mode option. The dark-mode option will then be the last option in the submenu.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t see a dark mode option, it&#8217;s probably because you&#8217;re using an older version of Facebook. You can also force quit the app to get the dark-mode back. However, it might not be available on every device. If you&#8217;re an Android user, you can force-quit the app to regain access to the setting.
