Listed below are some benefits to locking your account.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Profile_lock_feature_restricts_access_to_your_posts\"><\/span>Profile lock feature restricts access to your posts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re concerned about privacy, you may want to use the Facebook profile lock feature to limit the number of people who can view your posts. When your profile is locked, only your friends can view the posts on your timeline. This is a great way to protect your personal information, since it limits who can view your photos, stories, and updates. However, you should be aware that not everyone can use the profile lock feature to secure their privacy.<\/p>\n<p>When you restrict someone&#8217;s access to your posts on Facebook, they will be unable to see any future posts you make. This only works with your Friends list, however. If you want to restrict someone&#8217;s access to your posts, you can tag them so that they can see your restricted posts. If you don&#8217;t want them to see your posts, you can always manually revoke the restriction. By turning on this feature, only people you have mutual friends with will be able to view your profile. The same goes for other Facebook accounts &#8211; you can also restrict the visibility of your photos, albums, and stories.<\/p>\n<p>While Facebook does not require you to change your password, you should consider doing so if you have sensitive information. Alternatively, you can turn off comments on the entire site. If you&#8217;re a Facebook group administrator, knowing these settings will help you prevent yourself from accidentally blocking someone from commenting on your posts. This will help you keep your groups private and allow only your friends to post.
