Purity, you can choose to change the default Facebook Newsfeed view from Top Posts to Most Recent. The app will remember this preference and will automatically switch your newsfeed view to Most Recent when you change it. To do this, open the app and click the Settings tab. Go to the &#8220;Notifications&#8221; section and select &#8220;Mark all notifications as read&#8221; in the vertical menu.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re working from home or have an important deadline, you may want to turn off Facebook notifications to prevent being distracted by the notifications. There are ways to turn off Facebook notifications in the settings menu and in the sidebar on the left. The most convenient method is to switch your browser&#8217;s notifications settings to Desktop. This way, you won&#8217;t get notified of posts that aren&#8217;t relevant to you.<\/p>\n<p>To turn off Facebook notifications, go to the Settings menu in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Click Settings. The second-to-last option is &#8220;Notifications&#8221;. From here, you can edit the settings. Toggle the toggles to turn on and off. Alternatively, you can turn off notifications globally. You can choose to turn off notifications globally or individually, depending on your preferences.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Block_invites_from_specific_friends_to_eliminate_notification_spam\"><\/span>Block invites from specific friends to eliminate notification spam<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re tired of getting notifications from friends, you can block their app invites. To block a specific app, go to your Facebook settings and select Block apps. You can then enter the name of the friend to block and click Okay. Once you&#8217;ve blocked a friend, you won&#8217;t receive app invites from them again. This trick will prevent notifications from any apps that you haven&#8217;t installed.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve set up your blocking page, you can manage your blocked pages and prevent new invites from coming to your inbox. If you&#8217;ve unfriended the person, you can block them from receiving notifications from you, too. Facebook has a setting that lets you manage blocked pages, but this doesn&#8217;t control notifications from specific friends. If you&#8217;re looking to block specific friends, you can choose to block their Facebook account.<\/p>\n<p>You can also block apps from specific friends from showing up on your Facebook timeline. Facebook has made it easy to block unwanted applications by allowing users to edit their block lists and restrict the number of people they can invite. You can also block individual members of your Facebook network. You can also unblock an app or event that you&#8217;ve blocked before. Moreover, if you unblock a friend&#8217;s application, you can easily access it and unblock the blocked app.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"View_older_notifications_on_Facebook\"><\/span>View older notifications on Facebook<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In order to view older notifications on Facebook, you must first log in to your Facebook account. To do so, select the three horizontal lines in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Then, choose Settings &amp; Privacy. Click Notifications. You should then see a list of notifications that you&#8217;ve received in the past week. If you have deleted any notifications, click the &#8220;Deleted&#8221; link at the top of the list.<\/p>\n<p>You can also view old notifications by going to your Timeline. This section of Facebook is located at the top of your Timeline. Click on the year of the post you want to view. You can also view notifications that have been &#8220;Liked&#8221; by others. The more notifications you have, the more you&#8217;ll want to view them. But before you do that, you need to know how to view older notifications on Facebook. Fortunately, Facebook makes it easy to view older notifications from your Timeline.<\/p>\n<p>Before you clear the local data, make sure you&#8217;ve signed in to Facebook before. Sometimes, local data can become corrupted. Clearing it out can help solve this problem. After doing so, you can sign in again to test whether the notifications settings are the same. Then, restart your device and try signing in again. You should be able to see your notifications again.
