Once you have completed this process, your post will be deleted from Facebook. The next time you&#8217;d like to delete a post, you&#8217;ll need to follow these steps.<\/p>\n<p>The first thing to do is to find the post you&#8217;d like to delete. If it is not public yet, you can still view it by clicking on its icon. To do this, you must first access your profile page. Next, click on your profile image. You will then see three dots (&#8230;) next to your profile picture. Once you&#8217;ve clicked on these dots, click on &#8220;Move to Recycle Bin.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Archive_function\"><\/span>Archive function<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are two main ways of deleting a post on Facebook: archiving and trashing it. Archiving is a temporary solution wherein the post is kept on Facebook and not retrieved, whereas trashing removes it permanently. Both ways of deleting a post are equally safe and you can choose which is best for your own purposes. However, if you have made a post on Facebook that you don&#8217;t wish to continue seeing, you can choose to untag yourself from other people&#8217;s posts to remove the post completely.<\/p>\n<p>The archive function is available in the settings menu of your Facebook profile. To use this function, you need to scroll down to the post that you want to archive and then tap the ellipsis button on your profile page. After selecting the post, tap Archive. You will then see a box where you can choose whether or not to delete it permanently. To access archived posts, you can either select them individually or select them in bulk.
