For example, you don&#8217;t want your current and past pictures to be seen by anyone outside your friends list. Likewise, you don&#8217;t want anyone else to see your photos, especially if you&#8217;ve chosen the Friends-only privacy setting. This feature allows you to control who can view your past pictures. In addition, you can also limit access to certain sections of your profile, such as your Timeline and Tags.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Timeline_review\"><\/span>Timeline review<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To turn off the Timeline Review, first open the Settings menu on Facebook. Then, navigate to the Timeline and Tagging section. Scroll down to the &#8220;lock your timeline&#8221; option. Click the ellipsis &#8220;&#8230;&#8221; icon next to the post you want to hide from the public. This will make only those you have allowed to see your profile see it. Alternatively, you can toggle off this feature entirely, leaving your Timeline only visible to friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook profile lock will prevent unauthorized users from viewing your public information, including posts you&#8217;ve shared in the past. It also lets you review your posts by hand. While a locked profile will hide some of your public information, it will allow you to manually view your posts and tags. You can also disable this feature altogether by tapping &#8220;Unlock Profile&#8221; from the profile settings. This option is useful for protecting your privacy on Facebook and to avoid being followed by strangers.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tag_review\"><\/span>Tag review<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are several benefits of locking your Facebook profile. This option ensures that only friends you specify can see your profile. This way, your friends cannot access your most recent updates or see your profile pictures or albums. Those you do choose to allow to view your profile will still be able to send you Friend Requests. However, if you&#8217;d prefer to restrict who can send you messages, you can enable this feature.<\/p>\n<p>To enable this feature, go to Settings &gt; Timeline and Tagging. Toggle the box next to &#8220;Review posts you&#8217;re tagged in before they appear on your Timeline&#8221; and turn it on. The same process applies to the feature of tag review. By choosing this option, you can control which posts you want to be seen by the public. This is particularly helpful for posts that you want to keep private.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Blocking_screenshots\"><\/span>Blocking screenshots<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You might be wondering how to block screenshots on Facebook. This method is similar to what is done on other social media platforms, but Facebook does not tell you whether or not someone has screenshotted your profile. Facebook does not detect screenshots taken with the browser. It only shows your content to the people you choose to see it. If you are worried that someone has been screenshotting your profile, you may want to protect it with a password.<\/p>\n<p>You can also use Facebook&#8217;s profile photo guard, which automatically blurs your downloaded images and photos. This prevents others from sharing or saving unethical screenshots. The profile photo guard is only available on the desktop version of Facebook, as laptops can&#8217;t save protected photos. Here&#8217;s how it works:<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Limiting_access_to_your_profile\"><\/span>Limiting access to your profile<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can limit the visibility of your profile to only friends you specify. The limit is applied when you add a friend to your Facebook list. If you want to limit the number of people who can view your profile, select &#8220;Limited Profile&#8221; and click &#8220;Add Friends&#8221;. Your limited profile will only be visible to friends who have already accepted your request. You can change this setting anytime by visiting the privacy menu. Once you have set the limit, you can choose who can view your profile.<\/p>\n<p>Creating a list of friends with whom you want to limit access to your profile is easy. First, sign into Facebook and click the &#8216;Settings&#8217; dropdown.
