First, open your Instagram app. Next, tap the profile link at the bottom of the screen. It will display your pictures and description text. Once you have done that, you can go to the settings menu and scroll down to Privacy and Security. Click on Linked Accounts. You&#8217;ll see your Facebook account in the list. It will be highlighted in blue and checked. Click the check mark to remove it. Both platforms have dedicated user bases, but you may only use one platform. If you&#8217;re a Facebook user, you probably don&#8217;t want to share your posts and stories on Instagram. You can disconnect Facebook and Instagram Messenger, or just use one or the other as your primary social media account. Here&#8217;s how to do it.<\/p>\n<p>First, open your Instagram account. Then, click on the Account Center in the left-hand sidebar. Once you&#8217;ve selected the account, tap the &#8220;Remove From Accounts Centre&#8221; button. Click the Unlink option next to the account you want to unlink from Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>Before disconnecting from Facebook, make sure you understand what it entails to switch to a personal account. There are several reasons to do this. While a personal account allows you to use basic Instagram features, it is limited in terms of access to analytics and other tools. For professional brands and businesses, the loss of these insights could be disastrous. The final decision is up to you and your preferences.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Limiting_Facebook-Instagram_interaction\"><\/span>Limiting Facebook-Instagram interaction<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To limit the amount of Facebook-Instagram interaction, you can go to the Accounts Center on Instagram. Click the menu icon, choose Settings, and then tap Accounts Center. The Accounts Center screen will have options for sharing and control of logins, passwords, and payment methods. You can also turn off this feature for new users and non-followers. Instagram has been testing the limits since February, but the test on Facebook has yet to come.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s possible to block the abusive content on Instagram without removing your profile. This feature is new to Instagram, but hasn&#8217;t reached all accounts yet. It&#8217;s still possible to get targeted spam messages and other abusive content. You can also block certain accounts that send you unwanted messages. But make sure you&#8217;re not sharing your account&#8217;s private information with anyone who you don&#8217;t know.
