You can add multiple friends to this list. You can add specific friends to the list, too, such as those from your work group. You can also make a list for specific posts you want to share with certain people. If you have a sensitive topic you would like to keep private, a restricted list is the way to go.<\/p>\n<p>Restricted list members will only see posts that you&#8217;ve set to &#8220;public.&#8221; They won&#8217;t be able to view new comments on posts that you make private. If you&#8217;re worried about your workmates reading your private posts, restrict them from seeing them. Restricted list users won&#8217;t see your private posts, but they will see the ones you&#8217;ve tagged in them. To change who&#8217;s on your list, sign in to your Facebook profile and click the &#8220;Settings&#8221; button. From there, select &#8220;Blocking&#8221; from the dropdown menu. Click on the &#8220;Edit List&#8221; link.<\/p>\n<p>You can add or remove friends from your Restricted list at anytime. You can change the list by adding or removing people you don&#8217;t want to see. By clicking on the names or pictures of these friends, you can restrict them from seeing your updates. This setting also applies to groups that contain people you&#8217;d like to protect. You can create a restricted list by naming specific groups on your profile. Then, you can choose which friends to restrict.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Limiting_the_audience_of_your_old_posts\"><\/span>Limiting the audience of your old posts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can limit the audience of your old posts on a Facebook private account by choosing the setting &#8216;Limit Old Posts&#8217;. By changing the audience, you&#8217;ll ensure that no one can see posts that contain your personal information. If you have created a custom audience for your posts, you can keep it private. However, if you&#8217;d like to avoid tagging people in your old posts, you can create a custom list to avoid being tagged.<\/p>\n<p>First, you can change the audience of your old posts. You can choose to limit the audience of past posts only to your Friends and Close Friends. You can do this for each post separately by selecting the &#8216;Limit Old Posts&#8217; option. Once you&#8217;ve selected the audience for a particular post, click &#8216;Confirm&#8217;. You&#8217;ll need to do this for every single post to limit the audience.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve ever posted something that&#8217;s not appropriate for your audience, you&#8217;ve probably wondered how to restrict it. The answer is that it depends on your purpose for making the posts public. However, if you don&#8217;t want to share all of your personal information on Facebook, there are steps you can take to ensure your profile remains private. First, turn off the permission for search engines to view your profile.
